Watching heavy snowfall warnings popping up from Penticton to West of Edmonton all night. The snow has started here. We are expecting 5-10 cm. At least it's a start.

In Toronto today:

HL0º Snow/Rain

GTA's first major winter storm this year, started the day off with snow, turning to ice pellets, turning to sleet, turning to freezing rain, now it just regular rain.

However, there's now a rainfall warning in place as it's been steadily pouring for a good couple hours as I sit in Pearson hoping my flight stops getting delayed.

So far we've had 18 mm and it's still coming down. Currently 4.5 degrees, the temp is supposed to increase until about Midnight and then drop to around +1 by morning. Hopefully the rain ends before the temp drops

The birds are drenched

I was in the Westend today, and snapped a few photos along Bute Street. We've got one more day before the cold arrives. Buckle up!

We got off to a promising start - windy, blowing snowstorm but now it's turned to rain. I miss Huron County snowstorms.

Wet snow was actually sticking for a while. But it turned out to be like 4 degrees or something and everyone's driveways were showing asphalt again. The streak of no shovelling so far this winter is still alive. Might come to an end in a few days though. Only had to salt once too.

The two week forecast looks cold, but nothing out of the ordinary for Jan. and Feb. We've just been spoiled this winter so far.

Yeah, today's been rather miserable. I knew it would be slushy, since by 1 pm the snow turned into rain, but combine that with local construction and it's a much bigger nuisance than it should be, since the sewer grates are frequently backed up or blocked in parts of my area.

I just realized where you're located. My company lends on one of the buildings at Roehampton and Redpath. I had to go visit there this past July along with a couple of commercial properties at Yonge and Eg.

That tree in front of you still has a lot of foliage on it still, surprisingly.

Oh, nice!

Yes, that tree retains its leaves for quite some time into the winter. I have no idea what species it is (some kind of oak judging by its leaves), but it used to have a twin, on the other side of the pathway to my building, until it died a few years ago. A sapling was planted in its place, until a car crash killed it, along with damaging the bus shelter and dislodging the rocks for the planter.
This is a reference for its twin, taken on Christmas of 2020.

-7C with a wind chill of -15 and cloudy. Starting snowing late this afternoon. Quickly turned into rain... temperature climbed to 1C.

-5C (wind chill of -9). That's winter for you. Warmer in the middle of the night, then cooler during the day and now back to warmer at night.

The warmspot was Howe Sound, BC at 10.1C.

-6C and snowing in Moncton at 9 AM. The storm started about 90 minutes ago, but still less than a cm of accumulation.

About 15 cm expected here today, before a changeover to rain around noontime. Another 10 mm of rain expected this afternoon. It will get windy too with sustained winds of 50 km/hr gusting to 70. Winds could be as high as 90 km/hr along the Fundy coastline.

We got 8 cm of snow, which changed to rain around 10 pm. It’s pretty messy out there.
