I love these towers. After seeing them complete, I realized they are giving me Thorncliff Park Towers vibes—taller and modern.

Super! Est-ce que c’est l’architecture finale ou ça pourrait encore changer?

Interestingly, New Brunswick is participating in the project right now.

Being on an old landfill, 12 000 tons of contaminated soil are trucked away to the nearest ''safe'' site which is supposedly in, believe it or not, Belledune. A nice 600 km round trip.

Rimouski always looks good in pictures and nice to see some Fredericton. Are those relatively new condos, top right in the first picture Knoxford Guy?

A few from FB - suburban St. John's (specifically Conception Bay South, an amalgamation of the old towns of Topsail, Chamberlains, Manuels, Long Pond, Foxtrap, Kelligrews, Upper Gullies, and Seal Cove - Topsail and Kelligrews being the most important culturally. This is where the food for St. John's was grown pre-Confederation. Mount Pearl was where townies had their cabins/cottages, but CBS is where people lived year-round, farmers, and brought their products into haymarket square on market days. Even when I was a kid in the 80s, going out there was a proper day trip, a school field trip. Now it's 15 minutes lol). It has no downtown because it's just these outports growing together with subdivisions in between. The T'Railway (our former railroad, now an all-purpose trail for walking/biking) crosses the entire island.

I know I'm breaking the rules by posting something that is not in Canada, but Buffalo City Hall does typically fly the Canadian flag proudly and adjacent to the American one

Recent drone video of Buffalo NY's architectural and cultural gems. I thought the architecture geeks would appreciate this:

Thank you for that. The city hall is a beauty (I wasn't aware of how much colour it has) and there are many other notables in town

Buffalo Central Terminal is a real shame, though such a building cannot continue its original function if the demand isn't there. I read the Wiki page and saw that the Harry Stinson kiss of death was at one time associated with its revival... bullet dodged.

I've only ever been IN Buffalo three times... once to drive a great aunt to a medical appointment (she lived in Windsor; I don't know why the appointment was in Buffalo but maybe it was to see a specialist of specialists), once to drive my old grad school advisor to the airport, and once to see a Sabres game. The city deserves to be toured, once we're past this international spat generated by the not-so-bright orange king.

Cool video! Buffalo has some gems, and I suppose one plus of relative stagnation for many years is that they are still very prominent in the downtown. It's a place absolutely worth visiting, and I'd actually had plans to go again this summer that are at least temporarily on hold.

Am I strange for liking how Olympic stadium looms over that neighbourhood? (whose name escapes me). There's lots of parkland nearby too, if I'm not mistaken.

How far is the Metro stop?
