This will offer a nice transition from the park and attractions to this residential development. It seems to wrap around the Museum Tower. I think that because there are so many tall buildings in Atlanta that we have come to expect that to be the norm. The rendering looks a little off or perhaps the development will go all the way to West Peachtree Pl.

Whatever the case may be, this development will bring more residents to Downtown. It will be a great location for families with children. All in all, I like it. If the descriptions of the finish product is accurate then this will be a win for that community.

Houston developer plans Buckhead luxury apartment tower

According to Bisnow, a real estate site, Houston-based Grayco Partners has filed plans for an unspecified commercial development that will exceed 250k SF at the site of Houston's restaurant in Buckhead. The company is looking to develop an eight-story, 250-unit project that should deliver by the spring of 2016 behind the restaurant within the Brookwood Square shopping center.

This would be its first Atlanta project for Grayco who has developed luxury communities in Texas such as the South Shore District in Austin, CityLake in Houston, The Belle Meade at River Oaks in Houston, and Venue Museum District. Grayco's project will be along the Beltline.

I think it's rising 8 stories...thought it was going to be bigger than that, guess I was wrong.
Is their any update on 1125 Peachtree?

And I for one love the design of Post Centennial. Like others have said, I believe the blocks east of here towards W. Peachtree Place may see taller buildings.

I personally would love nothing more than to see the Simpson St. treatment replicated all over town.

In a Curbed update about the Eastside Trail extension there are some shots of progress on Alexan at Krog.

There on the left:

Quote:
An under-construction apartment community in Inman Park, adjacent to the Edgewood Avenue bridge. Trammel Crow Residential is building the 222-unit "Alexan Krog Street" apartments, a venture separate from Krog Street Market.
And you can see the deck going up in the background here:

Hopefully this has some nice street level treatment along Edgewood.

Unless I am forgetting something, I think Centergy North will be the second tallest building immediately bordering the interstate. Twelve Centennial Park is the tallest, but Centergy North will be a few dozen feet taller than 250 Peidmont and Wachovia Atlantic Station.

Your images never work. You need to host them somewhere, then link to them. It looks like you're trying to post them from your email?

There are several projects improvements underway in the Lenox area that should help with the streetscape in that section of Buckhead.

-- a redesigned entry at 3350 Peachtree (the new Pulte headquarters). Apparently this will include a restaurant with outdoor dining. Atlanta investing big in PulteGroup move to Buckhead

-- a redesigned entrance at Monarch Plaza, next to the Ritz Carlton. I'm guessing this will be a passive area but it could be some nice greenspace.

-- the new apartment building going up on the former Dante's location.

Yeah, that is one of the things I love about the game as well. I was fairly upset when they brought in the left field wall at Comerica.

Another wave — nay, a tsunami! — of apartments is washing through the approval process in Buckhead. In what could be the largest dose of rentals in the multifamily boom, AMLI Residential is moving forward with two neighboring projects that could bring roughly 650 apartments to a site at Roxboro and East Paces Ferry roads, near Lenox Square.
