yesterday was the first day i realized you could actually start to see the new 1wtc from my place, so i walked down there in the late afternoon and took a walk around the site with my iphone:

from the hudson riverside park below w14th st

from tribeca

you can run the table of downtown scrapers in this view at bpc

its almost as tall as its neighbor now -- and the cranes are even taller

this is the westside of the tower

this is the ne corner

eastside

more eastside

just north of the wtc site, next to wtc7, is bmcc's fiterman hall rebuild

a peek thru the fencing looking south across the wtc site at maki's wtc4

wtc4 going up in the se corner of the wtc site -- across from C21

se corner

southside view of 1wtc and wtc4

looking just south of the wtc site -- whats left of the old deutsche bank tower

10 floors maybe?

southside of the deutsche bank building -- odd to see sunlight here above it

great alley view that caught my eye

new stuff -- world center hotel next to deutsche bank building site is open

the new w hotel is across the street/south from deutsche bank

then just south below the w hotel something else is set to up, this is albany/washington streets

i dk what it is, but there is a big lot and lots of construction sheds and stuff onsite

this is looking north over liberty community garden in front of the brooklyn-battery tunnel entrance

lots of really nice old buildings over here

lastly, not related to the wtc, but new, noteworthy & very nearby is the goldman sachs office tower in bpc

this strange and awkward walkway canopy has no regard to the building next to it

i'm not a fan of this fat/bland corporate tool office building, some are, but anyway there it is

oh i saw this on a bpc residential tower

*** so there you are, definate visible progress now -- thats whats up all around the wtc site this fall ***

I'm looking to redo my N1WTC model. I don't suppose anyone here has links to elevation drawings, blueprints or anything of that nature? I would make the work much easier and quicker. Like, by next weekend quick.

Really anything WTC related would also be appreciated. PM please.

42 floors or 480' even, or146.3 meters, plus about 4 feet to the column splice.

I have em, it's a matter of not being able to share. I would like to avoid jail time, if at all possible.

on the matter of wtc tower 1, why would you go to jail for sharing the blue prints of the tower with some one else?

It's called a non-disclosure agreement. All of the WTC site prints are covered by one. I signed one when I recieved the prints, couldn't get them unless I signed.

LOL, NOW it is.

Let's see, 817' 10" - 311' 2" = 506'8" or 154.432meters. Plus the usual 4 feet for the splice, the zero point is 300' below mean high tide at Battery Park Point. (Yep, the ground floor is only 11' 2" above mean high tide. God save NYC if it gets hit by a hurricane.)

I guess I was counting floors on the wrong photo, thanks NYGuy for the up to date pic.

I understand. Shame there isn't anything you could share. Just a list of the elevations of each floor would be a bigger help than anything else. I mean, the rest of the info I can solve for based on publicly available info, plus a bit of logic. I mean, this one bit of info seems to be out there given Culwalla has it in metric in his diagrams, and random people keep shouting out exact heights.

Yeah, that is precisely the kind of info I need.
