-5C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 8 AM, going up to =2C this afternoon.

A few flurries here today with no significant accumulation. Meanwhile, in the Centre of the Universe (Halifax), they may get up to 15 cm of snow.

Meanwhile, in St. John's, they have a full on orange level winter storm warning issued. Up to 40 cm of snow with 70 km/hr wind gusts.

Pray for SHH.........

High of -1 today. No real progress towards spring for the remainder of the month temperature-wise. I have heard that the crocus and snowdrops are bravely showing themselves. High of 22 in Lisbon under sunny skies.

The record breaking heat in the western US, especially after having a well above average winter, is kind of disturbing. If this pattern keeps up, I can only imagine the effects such as drought, wild fires etc.

Today is a bit below average but pleasant enough since there is no wind. Currently 1 going up to 3 with some flurries possible. The next week is a mixed bag of up and down temps, but nothing too extreme, just classic March stuff. First week of April looks like it could be a proper spring week, with more consistent temps in the double digit range.

Forecasted low of -8 Friday, which I expect to be our last real cold shot of the season. Good riddance, what a slog it has been.

Some snow on Sat but it melted pretty fast. about 4 today then 3 days of cold before it goes back up to above seasonal. However there is still a melt happening now that the sun is getting stronger.

That said the birds are coming back. Snow Geese are starting to show up. Cobra Chickens are roosting on Rooftops. (One pair on my Office this morning). And I saw Swans out on a lake in Jasper NP last week.

The absurdity continues...

0C and cloudy. Moncton should be sending prayers to us not SHH. At least St John's has had a month above average in the last 5 months unlike MTL.

Low of -6C (wind chill of -12) last night.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 16.5C.

Warmest low was Saturna Island, BC at 5.3C.

A sunny start but then it clouded over in the afternoon. Otherwise, dry and calm.

Monday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 9 C, the low was 2 C.

It's over. Marty said it's a much lower total than expected officially - but by coincidence it is a bit more downtown. My neighbour called me to dig him out - first time he's had to do that

I haven't seen any posts from Marty recently. Has he given up on SSP?

I sort of doubt it was that bad in Halifax either. On the webcams it didn't stick on roads and there is still some patchy grass visible in places. It's around 1 degree and sunny, which sucks for late March, but isn't really anything unusual in 95% of Canada.

cold and snow for the next few days then back up to spring.

Expecting 4-10cm locally and up to 30cm in the mountains.

Avalanche hazards are at extreme already and will only get worse. Already 2 massive ones. One in the Kananaskis country and another closing highway 93 the icefield parkway.

2C and increasing cloudiness throughout the day. Started with full sunshine and ended with full cloud cover. Just way too cold.

Low of -7C ( wind chill -10) this morning. Sunny but cold.

The warmspot was Qualicum Beach, BC at 15.7C.

Warmest low was Osoyoos, BC at 6.6C.
