Agreed! Let us let bygones be bygones and start anew. And no more ad hominem attacks. Please!

People aren't always allowed to post details, they just hint at something to keep people on here excited. I'd rather have hints dropped on a project once in a while than read the usual bickering.

You mentioned that several times already.

I think the University (main campus), West Campus / University District, and the Foothills Campus are going to be one of the few highlights for Calgary construction.
Thanks for the thorough posts regarding the university suburbia, much appreciated.
What is going on with MacKimmie Tower ?

I get that, and I don;t think people should risk their job (or their friend's job etc...) but I too find it really lame, and never understood why people need to post that they know something is coming but can't give any details. It seems like all they want is some glory. Silent Bob, and Bokimon are two guys that were always doing this and for what??

I have not found any renderings, but a nine-figure budget means it should be substantial. It cannot be easy or cheap to be pulling out the external walls! I'm curious how close they would have been to full demo and rebuild with those kind of numbers!

^Thanks.
A similar thing on a much smaller scale is happening to the John Ware Building at SAIT (external wall replacement & abatement).

I do it to keep people excited about upcoming developments, some people just like the attention I guess.

He got a bad rap, and was probably not deserving of troll #1, that would be a tie between you and Deepstar. Heck maybe even me...not that I care. I have thick skin and don't care if people don't like what I have to say - I call like it is. I know some people here don't like that, but hey suck it up, it's the internet.

You do it? No offense, but when was the last time you gave some kind of juicy info? The only ones who have are Bokimon and most recently KW150, and those guys never left any info that was worth anything.

See this is an example of calling it like it is. If people refrained from bullshitting or exaggerating on here, you wouldn't have people getting called on it, and you wouldn't have half the problems.

Edit: Suburbia gave some good info a while back on the BMO expansion, that's the only legit info of an upcoming project that we've seen on here for a while.

I won't post a link to it (spam rules), but if someone's particularly interested in that project there are some renderings over at Skyrisecities.

I don't think it's that big a deal. If people are annoyed there isn't enough info in the post, just ignore it.

I think a good balance is to mention it if there are at least some details that can be spared (like the area of town, or the type of building, and maybe some other minor details). If there are no details at all, other to say 'hey everyone something interesting is coming down the pipe' then I agree that it might be kinda pointless.

Exactly. And that's all I was saying. If there are some details then great, let people in on some interesting information, but if there isn't any, then it's completely pointless. Like why are you even bothering?

I don't understand what spam rules would be violated if you posted the original source here.

I just searched skyrisecities and couldn't find anything. Same links and info as we have here on it - and looks like the info about the crane going up at MacKimmie was posted there within the last 24 hrs also. The image you're referring is likely embedded in a generic forum. Please do share it - original source, but if you need, would be happy with a link to skyrise as opposed to not having a rendering at all.

Worst of all, it's 2018 and information still isn't being made available on the city's website for the community to see.

It's Calgary. We can't even figure out how to do transit cards.

There are renderings, but they were posted directly to SRC by a user on (Malcolm Tucker here on SSP) I know because I commented on them, but this was about four five months ago.
