Would be nice if there are vertical LED lights embedded on the fins of the windows. They can be dimmed if necessary to prevent too much light pollution. We need more lights on our buildings and skyscrapers to enhance the look of the city.

A good video!

Interesting to hear that the old panels will be recycled into pavement.

That thread mentions that the Chateau Granville is undergoing a remodelling, repainting, etc. Hadn't even noticed but great news as well.

Me neither. It's actually fine shaped building, but just badly in need of some exterior renovation. Great news that it's already in progress.

It looks like the shades are drawn.

People sometimes complain that the building is too light-colored, too dark, too sandy-colored, too neutral etc etc etc. Yet looking at these latest pictures, that the new exterior, both the semi-reflctive windows, and the concrete and stone, will have a muted "earth-tone" effect which may help pull that part of downtown together, at least visually, without clashing with anything. Some will vehemently disagree, I know ..... but just remember what was there before.

Pic by me today - Both atria at their finished dimensions. Note the additional cut-out along Robson and the new beams and columns along Granville.

Pic by me today - just noticed that there are no fins on the last couple panels - and the tint matches the spandrels, not the vision glass (i.e. they could be spandrel). Note the struts on the corner to support the double skin curtain wall.
