wow isnt the only word....the curtain wall will be amazing....and i would guess that 45-46 floors will meet up on the angles......i am on here at least 6x a day and there is always something new....

That's cladding 3.0, it looks like they just took it off an alien spaceship.

The quality looks beyond anything we've seen before, and the addition of the stainless steel is a nice touch. They just made all towers of the same height without similar trim lose their "new car" smell. But that's how design works, each decade brings something new to the table.

Do you mean where the angled steel beams will meet up with the 1st vertical steel beams? If so I read it was floor 52. Next week when they put up the scaffolding for 43,44 they will pass 500' taller then Vessy.

Such a vast and complex site that it can only be understood when looked at from above. Looks like WTC1 has reached the height of the Verizon Building.

One W.T.C. is now 40 stories high, rising at a continued construction rate of about one floor per week.

“The building will be 90 stories high by the 10-year anniversary of 9/11,” Ward said.

Conde Nast’s show of interest in leasing office space in one W.T.C. is a “game-changer for Downtown,” Ward said. “The relationship with that type of employee would have with Downtown… I think will be really dramatic.”

The large-scale media company would also nurture the area’s housing sector, he said, since it caters to a primarily urban work force.

I actually hope it's not a mockup but the real thing. There's a very typical situation that happens where a company will put out a mockup and then the actual product will come out looking very different.

What I see, I really hope will end up on the building. Look at those window frames, nice thin clean edges!

The steel has risen up to the 42nd floor of 1 World Trade Center, which means it's time for our future tallest tower to start putting on its face! The glass and metal facade is en route from Portland, Oregon, and Owaponna, Minnesota, and should start going up on the building next month. The facade really does look top-notch. Rivaling the Shard's cladding, even, which is not an easy feat. Can't wait to see it go up on the building.
