Hotel complex near I-235 and I-40
I've nearly forgotten about this spot with all the other activity around.
Near I-235 and I-40, an old trucking terminal run by Central Freight Lines was purchased for redevelopment by Joshua Joseph, out of Dallas.
This was back in 2016.
Joseph saw the site as an entrance to Bricktown.
His plans called for a total of 4 hotels on the location.
The first was to be a Candlewood Suites.

The large triangular plot immediately to the west was also slated for new construction as a storage facility.
Completely separate development, as far as I know, despite it starting at around the same time.
The old trucking site was basically a junkyard and required remediation.
It was assisted by OERB (Oklahoma Energy Resources Board) who had to plug up an old oil well and remove contaminated debris.
This remediation took a while to finish up before construction began.

Three of the hotels are finished.
One more to go... which should be a Sleep Inn.
However, there is a possibility that the fourth building may be an assisted living center.
