Why is the "best player in the world" constantly high sticking people in the face?

Because people work harder to tie up his stick and when you are fighting that, if you break it loose, it's more likely to come up.
If thr NHL called all the infractions on him, it would make it so lopsided.

Hates the Oilers, or indifferent to the Oilers? If EDM and VAN were knocked out early and Toronto was still playing, it would be the same thing from the rest of Canada. Despite those stupid Boston Pizza commercials, there really isn't a "Last Canadian Team Standing" thing here. Most of us have a team and are indifferent at best when our team is out. I don't have any reason to cheer against the Oilers but I'm not waving the flag either.

I agree. There is no disdain for the Oilers (by most Canadians). They are the last Canadian team standing, and I therefore am de facto supporting them. If they win the cup, I will rejoice as they will have removed that monkey from our collective backs.

Would I be more enthusiastic if the Leafs were still in the race, absolutely!!, but. the Oilers are now Canada's team. Go Oilers!!!

Also, it would be nice to see McJesus get his Stanley Cup ring.

One good reason to root for the Oilers is that I’m sure Buttman would be greatly annoyed if they won

Crazy first and we should have been up 3 or 4 to 1. Alas.

If we can finish 1 or 2 more per game, we have this.

Skinner looking hot!

Yep. And I hope he's going to get a colonoscopy afterward.

I was an Oilers fan during the 1980s, but not so much now.

I'll be pleased if they win, but won't be enthusiastically waving flags. About the NHL, I just don't care.

I think at this point, he is hoping for a New York-Edmonton final (and obviously he would hope for a game 7 win for the Rangers, but I don't think he would be super annoyed if Edmonton won at this stage). I think Florida-Dallas is the worst scenario he can envision of the remaining teams (Dallas-Carolina was probably his nightmare scenario a week ago lol).

Since this the Oilers have given up 8 goals on 47 shots (a 0.830 save percentage) and their defensemen are a combined -8. Dallas has 44 blocked shots to Edmonton's 24 in those two games (oh and also a save percentage of 0.932). Best defensive shutdown team you've ever seen? I'm assuming you had only seen game one of the series before making that claim because yikes, "Edmonton Oilers" and "best defensive shutdown team" never belong in the same sentence.

Edmonton D is getting exposed, just like the Canucks did to them but failed to capitalize. Nurse (and of course Campbell) are a complete waste of money.

They are on the same strategy as the Leafs and wondering why it isn't working.

look at the sad canucks fans suddenly emerging after an Oilers loss in the next round, after getting expunged from the playoffs by the oilers in the previous.

Yawn. If only if only they said.

I've just been resuscitated lol. The Bipolar Oilers Strike Back! Nurse is definitely an anomaly. He ass is a magnet for the biscuit the last couple of games.
