Yeah that's likely it for Bouwmeester's career, glad he got to hoist the cup!

Big night/week in Vancouver. The Sedins double Jersey retirement heading up to the rafters.
I remember "the shift" against Calgary. 2 minutes of Harlem Globetrotters action.
And they basically invented the slap pass and pass off the end boards plus their endless cycling in the corner before eventually putting it in the net.
Also one of them was actually the league ironman for a time which didn't include all the playoff games played! This despite being called soft their entire careers.

The Sedins didn't invent any of that, they were just really good at it because twins. Henrik was the Ironman after Bouwmeester finally missed a game I believe, Sedin was 679 games and Bouw was 737. Just crazy to play that many consecutive games!

Apparently Shea Weber's injury is season ending and possibly career ending. Crazy injuries lately!

I remember watching a young Jay at the 2002 world juniors. Godspeed!

As for Weber.

Habs say Weber is out 4-6 weeks, so not as bad as I thought. The tweet from Nick Kyprios on his foot seems a bit dramatic in hindsight.

Other teams call that slap pass the Sedin play, and I dont recall seeing it before them, so yes, they did invent it.

"They see plays that I don't think even I would look for. They are very creative and created the slap pass. On our team it is called the Sedin tip." Connor McDavid on the Sedins.

I dunno. Maybe you know something Connor McDavid doesn't.

The term slap pass has literally been around since the beginning of time...

I use to kid any defenceman that i played with if they had a weak slapshot on the net.....Hey bro....nice slap pass

You are misunderstanding. You may a bit of a young hockey fan, but what's being referred to here is a particular play on the power play.

No i'm not misunderstanding. Power play or at anytime, on any play, a slap pass can and will happen.

Oh yeah....been playing hockey at a high level for the last 40 years. Im slowing down now though haha.

Even managed to play for Team Canada for the 40 and over team in Prague in 2018. We won Gold

Pretty much guaranteed to lose if you give up 49 shots on goal. Maybe not.

Getting down to crunch time, and now some Pacific Division teams are starting to fall back. Canucks keep racking up wins, and, not that i wish injury on anyone, this might be an opportunity to get a good lead on everybody in the division.
