The roof is 934 feet. The spire is 1100 feet. Still, very high.

the top of the crown thing is 984 feet, 934 is the top floor/outdoor pool I'm pretty sure.

112597Jorge says the tip of the Crown is at 1,000 exactly with the spire being 100 feet. Not sure what the exact height of the crown and spire is..

I hope that's true but the renderings make it look like the spire is definitely longer than 100 feet.

If I remember correctly in the Wilshire Grand Video by Price school Chris Martin pointed out that the spire would be 100 feet.

It's LA's first spire. The bigger the better as far as I'm concerned. It's a statement building for the city.

well that's good news, so this thing really will be an 1000 footer to the roof (or crown really)

Looks like excavation is well underway at the NE corner of the lot. Is that where they started shoring?

Move thread?

Can we please move this thread to "Supertall Construction" now that demolition is officially over and excavation has begun?

Does anyone know if a Webcam is being set up?

Excavation isn't construction.

Turner has a webcam on Wedbush

Video Link

I don't think the webcam is active for live viewing yet, but it probably will be once construction starts.

I walked by last night around 10:00pm or so and they were out there pushing dirt around. They're working hard, whether or not it's excavation or construction.
