Moving quite quickly. Seems like it won't take as long as the midrise on Locke St. While I wish there was commercial space, I'm glad this is going up, it really changes the feeling as you enter Hamilton from the Highway.

And three more will be going up nearby in probably the next year. I agree, totally changes the vibe coming down Main. Once Main is two way and this cluster of buildings are done it will feel like it's own little urban area.

I didn't grab a photo, but it seems they're working on the last floor here. This one has been quick.

Probably the first time this view has changed in over 50 years. Looking west from Queen St. April 9 2023

Spot the 2 differences?
1) = crane
2) 3 lanes of one-way car traffic (down from 5).

Fairly minor in the grand scheme of things but a watershed moment for this area.

Didn't get a photo because I was driving, but some brick panelling has been installed on the ground floor here.

When were these taken? I drove past and it looked like walls for an 8th floor were going up. This right now is at least 7, does the title of the thread need to change?

These are from Mon. I would assume if it's a 7-storey building that there will be a MP appearing like an 8th floor.

This city has made a lot of good strides over the past decade but two-way Main st dotted with mid-rises with ground floor commercial along with LRT on King is going to completely transform everything for the better. Some people may not recognize it in a decade from now. I recently walked Main st from downtown to Dundurn just for the hell of it and it was absolutely terrible. Loud scary abrasive obnoxious and dangerous. Here’s hoping for a smooth transition.
I really like the scale of this building. Much like 101 Locke. I know there are other proposals of similar size along this stretch. Hoping they break ground soon.

Visible from King St over the 403, sticking above the trees

I regret not crossing the street to photograph this, but I wasn't sure about how much time I had in this area before I had to go. These were captured yesterday, and an affordable housing development is going up to the west
