Big news today with TSLA being added to the S&P 500. Would make landing the HQ that much sweeter.

Mark my words, Austin is the best thing to happen to Tesla and vice versa. You can bet that Boring Company and Neuralink will follow. It’s like Dell on steroids and cocaine with a little bit of moon dust.

No need to place bets. It’s already happened.

NeuraLink already began hiring at their new Austin office

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.blo...n-austin-texas

The Boring Company has also started hiring at a new Austin office

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.kxa...the-works/amp/

Austin already has a PayPal office (a former Elon Musk company), has a SpaceX facility 60 miles north in McGregor, TX where they build and test rocket engines, and is building a Tesla facility in Austin.

All 5 current and former Elon Musk companies are in Central Texas now. Now the wait for the HQ relocations begins because it’s only a matter of time now.

You know, we think of the factory location as being too Far East for the HQ but if you think in the long term that a metro is centered by the airport then....

I think it may be too far for executives driving in from places like Westlake and Lake Travis (best schools) each day.

Dell's house is in West Lake Hills (off of Toro Canyon). His 6D ranch is off of Bee Cave Road - near Bee Cave. Doesn't seem to bother him.

Who says the HQ would be required to be near the factory? I'd wager a guess the if Elon moves any of his HQs to Austin, they would be located in the CBD, Domain, Barshop & Oles' redeveloped Brodie Oaks center, or the like.

No one said that. I'm saying it will be. Probably between 130 and 973.

I'm saying if the HQ moves to Austin then it will be a part of the Austin Green Campus. I think companies who are looking in the long term are seeing that the Austin Airport is really the center of the Metro and the current metro makeup is based on the decades of the airport being off 35.

If he builds his Headquarters here like the one in California, then your prediction makes sense. He would need land for a sprawling campus- like HQ. He seems to like having amenities like parkland around his buildings. Also, being relatively close to the airport and factory would be a plus.

I didn't know Elon Musk had a private foundation. But it is apparently relocating to Austin from California according to Bloomberg:

I mean, the Boring Company might be here simply to executives to and from the office.

You know, I’m not a Musk fanboy by any means, but he’s got some interesting Captain of Industry throwback qualities that could really benefit Austin. Meaning... he’ll potentially want his name (or Tesla’s, or Boring, or etc) slapped on Good Works all over town. I know he doesn’t like marketing per se, but he def likes press, and seems to really want to actively cheerlead for TX and Austin. He could be a very active benefactor for the city. A little like having our own adopted Andrew Carnegie.

you know what's funny is that a decent amount of these guys DO NOT want their names on the buildings/facilities but are asked for rights anyway to encourage future donations. I can think of hospitals where this is the case

If Elon Musk was a Pokemon, he’d be a Lugia. One of a kind and only one in the world.
