I always thought that the shadows from anything over 6 stories extended all the way to Moncton and had the effect of taking years off a persons life as they walked under it.

No, that's foolish.

You're thinking about the wind effects. With a building of 6 storeys or more, they will blow a person all the way to Moncton.

Some members of the Heritage Trust even think that such effects were the cause of the sinking of a large ocean liner.

Simply by drawing a straight line from the two prominent buildings in Dartmouth that are visible I'm guessing Braeside Court? At first I thought the overhead sign was for Prince Albert but it's probably on the Circ.

But anyways nice photo it certainly is interesting to see the Welsford stick out so much

Just a bit further along. It's Gourok Avenue. Just over a mile up Caledonia from the NSCC.

Now that I think of it there's also that proposal for the funeral home on Robie near Quinpool. It could be a tower and if it is tall it will be very visible from this perspective.

A wider view would also include the new St. Joseph's, Gladstone, and maybe the new tower on Young Street if that moves forward.
