Construction of this building has been thoroughly documented by a series of Youtube videos. Here is the most recent (posted Jan 3):

Just received this notification from "HerreroBoldt Partners" via Nextdoor:

Quote:
Post Street will be closed from 12:01AM - Thursday, April 6 to 6AM - Monday, April 10 from Van Ness to Franklin. This is to facilitate the remove of a tower crane from Sutter Health's CPMC Van Ness Campus Hospital Project. The photo shows the detour routes that have been set up. If you have any questions send a DM.

The completed hospital facade completely blends in as the medical building's frame shows across Van Ness.

^^The new "can't wait until they do something wth that" along this stretch of Van Ness now is the old KRON building. I know there's a proposal but for the moment it's just deteriorating (with its Hillary Campaign HQ sign out front which is somehow appropriate).

Anyway. once that, the project to replace the Burger King parking structure, and ultimately the McDonald's replacement are done (and also the new proposal on O'Farrell between VN and Polk),and the BRT is running, Van Ness between Sutter and Civic Center will be a different place.
