As many of you no doubt remember, it's been two years since the shooting incident in my neighbourhood of Moncton which left three Mounties dead, and two others wounded.
They had the opening ceremony for the new Memorial Park for the slain Mounties on the Moncton riverfront today. Two years to the day since the incident.
I missed the ceremony, but went down later in the afternoon to have a look. I must say that the memorial is very well done - respectful, unobtrusive and blending into the surrounding parkland in a seamless manner. I was deeply impressed.
