Bilby Street has been converted temporarily to one-way westbound on this block. Since this just happened I'm confident to say the CMP is being implemented for this project and we'll see excavation begin very soon.
Coincidentally this project is going to community council next week for approval of some non-substantive changes to the approved development agreement.
The major aspects of the requested non-substantive amendments are as follows:
• Increased building height (interior floor to floor height changes - not additional storeys) – from 85 feet to 90 feet- 3 inches;
• Changes to building stepbacks at upper levels due to safety setback requirements from recently installed power lines by Nova Scotia Power;
• Changes to building cladding materials (to include aluminum glazing and railings);
• Changes to articulation of fenestration and balconies;
• Increase in the residential unit count from 63 to 71;
• Inclusion of more units consisting of two or more bedrooms from 28 to 30;
• Increase in the landscaped open space and recreational space to a total of 10,202 square feet combined; and
• An increase of bicycle parking spaces to meet LUB requirements.
Also the lots were consolidated in November 2021 which is another sign the development is moving ahead.
What’s that about a “new owner” of the PID? Or is that just a different legal structure, for the same developer etc.

According to the first page of this thread the original owner was George Israel. The site was sold a couple of years ago to Urban Capital with the development agreement attached.

Thanks, just wanted to confirm there hadn’t been another subsequent change.
Marco construction has a small sign on the site saying that construction will begin on March 21.
The sign is probably there to prevent any one from parking a car on the lot. I would expect fencing to go up next week.
This would mean a third construction site in the neighbourhood, after the completion of three buildings in the past year. Two more proposed sites are still in the works.
BN Crane installed the first section of the 325 Wolffkran tower crane for NRTH Condos this week. The crane will have a height of 31.5m, with a 45m jib and a 21.6m counter jib. It will remain on site until March 2023.
The project looks really good so far. Hopefully it turns out well.

Shoot, I sure wish I had got into the business of supplying tactile sidewalk plates to HRM, who are now installing them at every corner. I could have cleaned up. But thank god, because of course we all know that visually-impaired people were being slaughtered by motorists at every corner on a regular basis by striding into busy streets, even more often than cyclists were being mowed down by bloodthirsty drivers. I don't know how they ever survived previously.

You've said nasty things in the past, but this one takes the cake.

We're doing the bare minimum to support an underserved group; it inconveniences me in no way whatsoever, but I'm gonna complain about it anyways (completely unprompted)! It's so funny, right??!!??
