Some detail on the Panorama (City of New York) from slowpoke sf

One thing you will notice if not familiar with the city, is how relatively close Citifield is to Yankee Stadium. But the new Yankee Stadium is not in place.

Hello, Hello!

This is my first time on a Skyscraperpage Forum. Please forgive me if I act a little green, I'm still learning my way around. I'm Michael Chesko, the guy who created the 1:3200 scale balsawood Midtown Model above. I love this thread, obviously, and would like to show everyone some pictures of the Model during some of its construction phases, but I might need some help.

How do I upload photos from a folder on my desktop? The "Insert Image" function wants a URL and I was hoping for something like a "browse" option for an email attachment. I'm sorry if these questions are inappropriate, but if one of you more experienced posters could give me a little direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I hope I'm not stealing Mr Chesko's thunder, but since he hasn't posted for a few days I thought I'd point out that the fantastic 'work in progress' photos he mentioned can be found on his Flickr account.

See here for more details:

Cheers,

WOW, this is fantastic. I hope NYguy got you the info needed to post the pics.

btw, you'll probably get asked a bunch of questions about your models, I know I'll have a few.

This thread ROCKS! The models of New York had me humming Frank Sinatra's "New York," the one of SF made me think of Tony Bennett's "I Left My Heart in San Francisco, and Kevin, your model of Fort Worth made me think of George Strait's "Does Ft. Worth Ever Cross Your Mind."

I would like to see a model of Houston as it appears today. And I don't mean just Downtown, show me Greenway Plaza, the Texas Medical Center, the Museum District, Reliant Park, and the Galleria area. I'd be looking at it saying, "Been there, been there" as I point out attractions.

I think you used the URL of the Flickr page rather than the URL of the photo itself, which should end in .jpg. Once you are looking at the size you want on Flickr, the URL for the photo will be in a box below the photo called "2. Grab the photo's URL."

Here's one I pulled from your Flickr photo stream:

Okay, here I go again.

Sorry for not posting sooner, but I've learning how to manage my flickr account and post pictures here. Thanks NYguy for the help.

Here is how the Midtown model looked before I decided to go for it and finish it for the Skyscraper Museum.
