Okan Tower’s Phased Foundation & Vertical Permits Reactivated This Week, Penthouse Units Released
Quote:
Okan Tower’s phased foundation permit has been reactivated, along with a phased vertical construction permit for the 70-story tower.
The developer also launched sales for ultra-luxury penthouse loft units, with pricing starting at $2,000 per square foot.
The phased foundation permit was first applied for in January 2020, but went into inactive status during the pandemic after Okan put the project on ice during the pandemic.
The phased vertical permit was first submitted in March 2020.
Okan relaunched sales for condo units at the project in October 2021, with Miami’s real estate market as strong as ever.
In December, a master construction permit for the project was reactivated, along with a tree permit.
Both of the phased permits were reactivated on April 25, with Suffolk Construction still listed as the contractor.
Okan said this week that it was launching the Loft Penthouse Collection as the tower “nears groundbreaking,” including some units that will have 22-foot floor to ceiling glass windows (there will also be single-story units with 10-foot glass windows in the collection).
“This limited assemblage of our premier units was designed to appeal to those seeking the ultimate in elevated living in an urban walkable setting,” said Bekir Okan, Chairman of Okan Group.
Sales have been strong this year, according to in-house broker Fortune International Group.
“Throughout the first quarter of 2022, we’ve experienced remarkable sales momentum and we’re confident these new unit offerings will move very quickly,” said Edgardo Defortuna, President and CEO of Fortune International.
Groundbreaking is planned for June, the developer said earlier this month.
