Very nice. Love the rooftop views!

This one especially is interesting. The Driskill AND the Travis County jail? Neat.

Just some random shots I took last Sunday along 2244 west of 360.

It's amazing that this view is only about 10 to 15 minutes west of downtown.

The rarely seen 10-story Barton Creek Resort.

From 360 at Lost Creek Boulevard. I ran up the hillside for this one.

Nah, I still think the Frost Bank is at the 'center of the skyline'!

Kevin, I was out there Sunday as well. My best buddy lives atop Governor's Hill overlooking Barton Creek Resort. The view from up there is incredible. Governor's Hill is actually in one of your photos.

Some random shots from the Farmers Market from Saturday September 19, 2009

BTW, I noticed part of Republic Square was fenced off and there was a sign posted about the work being done in this particular phase. I can't remember everything, but I do remember seeing something about a 4000 sq. foot stage/deck underneath Auction Oak.

Hey! I recognize that door! I was just there late Saturday afternoon. Isn't that the house where the "driveway" is more like a dirt road and the actual house is hidden from Evergreen Ave? And across from that house (on the other side of the dirt road) is a long skinny place with all garages on the bottom and the living part upstairs? That other place looks like it might have been a small apartment building when it was originally built. My neighbor (who is the one who showed me these places on Evergreen) said the place with the garages on the bottom was owned by one person now and he used all but one of those former garages for storage.

Great photo, btw!

Anyway, here's another gem on Bouldin Avenue. When I saw it, I thought "If Austin were Greater Tuna, this is where Vera Carp would live."

A few shots here from just inside Travis County. These were taken from Ross Road just south of Highway 71 about 4 miles from the Bastrop County line. My sister and her fiance are buying a house there. The subdivision sits atop a hill with this view. This view is about a minute from their house. There's also a cool view of the control tower at the airport where it appears about as tall as the Austonian here.

That's 130.

Note the tail fin of a FedEx plane and the top of the ABIA Hilton Hotel.

Palisades West to the left.

LoneStarMike - great photos. I love the streetscape perspective with people taking casual strolls down 2nd street.
