Here is the version of Hello I am familiar with. Cable systems in Eastern Ontario carried Rochester NY stations when I was a kid.

How terrible. A generic song intended to stir up unique city pride?

^If we look at most slogans and marketing shtick for cities you could replace most of the words with other cities. Seriously one of Regina's mayors proudly touted "I <3 Regina" as a quality slogan just within the last ten years.

Makes Okotoks slogan look positively original in comparison.

My Dad used to sing that jingle to me when I was young. It was from ads for the Royal Bank. (RBC)

There is this new ad on the radio for Diamond and Diamond injury lawyers, and it makes me sick.. fucking jingle with their phone number 1-800 blah blah HURT.

Then they punctuate it again... 1-800.... blah blah HURT.

Look at this guy..is that his real name? diamond?

One jingle I really hate that you hear both on radio and TV:

From those CashMoney ads:

Dalmys Kids jingle

Does anyone remember the Canadian jingle that, I believe, was popular on the radio commercial circuit in 1987 and thereafter, which was a jingle for clothing brand Dalmys teen branch, Dalmys Kids?

The jingle went as follows,
"It wasn't very fair/Seemed mother's did not care/There was a store for them, not me/But now the time has come/Us kids are number one."

Anyone have a recording of the jingle anywhere?

Interesting fact: It was written and sung by a young Alanis Morissette prior to her Canadian pop stardom before ascending to the United States with the writing and recording of "Jagged Little Pill."

I remember the McCain drinking boxes jingle enthusiastically sung by little kids, where one of the lines, no doubt insisted on by the McCain Ltd. legal team, was "reconstituted fruit juice from McCain's!"
