This is at 1632 Walnut, in the old Conestoga Bank location in between For Eyes and Lucky Brand. Seems like a great store for the area. Streetview Link

3 bookstores within a few blocks (Barnes and Noble, this new one and Joseph Fox on the 1700 block of Sansom), This is great, I just hope none of these stores end up closing from the competition.

Shakespeare and Co. is a renowned English language bookstore in Paris for anyone who doesn't know. I think someone bought the name years ago and opened a couple of Manhattan bookstores.

Radio giant Entercom looking to move HQ from Bala Cynwyd to Philly waterfront, sources say

Nice to see this office space getting filled up! They are taking up a whole floor. Weird that the Inquirer article seems to be using an old rendering of the building that has a ton of extra floors.

Neumann Finance to locate offices in Center City, add more than 200 jobs

Neumann, which is in its startup phase, is for now operating out of a small office in Moorestown, N.J., where CEO Daniel Dyer and President George Pelose are building out the company's executive team.

Not gonna lie, was disappointed at the height at first (drink), but I think it's turning out awesome. I know skyline views were meant to be broken, but due to the girth of this buy, I'm happy it stayed short-ish. If two towers were an option, that may have been nice, but they were never proposed. Of the options presented by the developers, we ended up with the nicest version.

Not a ton but 50% more building is a lot. However, this building is looking great so I am fine with this project being built without the additional floors.

They later updated the article with a very fuzzy copy of a more recent rendering.

Wait...is the plan to close down Filbert street to cars? And is that a display screen under the bridge?

We are actually working on a part of this project, but its interior work.

I haven't heard anything regarding the closing the 900 block of Filbert Street to automobile traffic, but that's a fantastic idea that should absolutely happen! Pedestrianizing that street may also compel the PPA to sell the garage they own on that block. Having residential density beside the Fashion District would only further ensure its success.

Several Center City streets should be closed to automobile traffic. Juniper is one that should be pedestrianized, and Sansom should be a bidirectional cycle track.

I walk past the Hale building 5 days per week. They are doing a superb job restoring this uniquely beautiful building. They are replacing the copper molding around the windows with actual copper! It shines like a brand new penny. It seems no expense is spared in renovating and restoring this beauty.

Those Gallery renderings are absolutely astounding for their complete lack of any diversity at all. I guess black people aren't invited and only a few token asians are allowed (who I guess just wandered a block over from Chinatown by mistake)? I don't usually get worked up for small potatoes stuff, but sheesh...

It's maybe my favorite building in the city just for how eccentric it is, and they've done the impossible and have really honored it while renovating it. Who's the developer? I'm ready to send them a thank you card.

Good news on Hale. It's a real beauty. Almost a shame it wasn't a skyline-visible tower. Imagine that? (Another one that deserves to be taller is the Crozer Building)
