Haven't had anything other than perhaps Tim Bits for years, awful products.

Normally I'd hate it, but I gotta give props to Boston Pizza for their decent gluten free menu. Road trips are challenging if you can't eat like normies.

Why are there always tons of flies at Tim Hortons? Always buzzing around the counter, around the LED screen menus.. Makes you have second thoughts about buying their crap when you are waiting in line.

Some McDonalds locations are like that too.

They're all franchises, so it's probably up to the franchises to hire a pest control company and some just don't bother. It's also a sign of lack of cleanliness. If I find a restaurant has a lot of flies, I walk out.

UV fly traps work great and they're cheap, they should honestly be mandatory in every food establishment. It won't solve the mess problem but it at least reduces the amount of flies buzzing around and cuts down on their breeding.

No coffee is better for your health: I drink roasted chicory beverages like dandyblend.

Pretentiousness gives me heartburn, I'll stick to coffee.

If there’s a Tims there’s probably a Starbucks nearby and I find them way superior. If there are no other coffee shops nearby I go to Tim’s.

The flys have probably landed on their food before, that’s where the flavour comes from!

Don't laugh. Mormons live on this stuff

I also drink https://www.thechicorycompany.co.uk/

Heartburn is a serious side effect of drinking too much coffee; although I loved drinking quality coffee from Toronto's Merchants of Green Coffee, Out Post Coffee Roasters and Sam James, I rarely drink it anymore--once a month maybe decaf. I'd chose SBUX over Timmies in a pinch.

Well......I bit the bullet!

I ask you all, how does one mess up a grilled cheese sandwich? Somehow it tasted like mold dumped in an 80 year old grease trap (and even that is way to generous!). Never again!

Are chicory drinks pretentious? I associate them with what my grandparents drank when they lived in a literal sod hut in the bush, which is about as un-glamorous as it gets.

So apparently their chicken sandwiches are gone. I know, shame on me and all that but I tried to order one yesterday (between that and their dry breakfast sandwiches with no butter I'd rather take the former) and I was told they were only on the menu temporarily. Beyond burgers are also gone across the country except in BC and Ontario; they apparently failed to meet their sales expectations but they apparently do well enough in those two provinces.

Fast food related, A&W in Skatch is now offering bison burgers. Hoping that this will spread and I can try them here in Alberta.

Good riddance! Those things were bad. But I agree, between a cold chicken sandwich and a burnt bagel with fake eggs and processed sausage I prefer the former.

Yeah, I heard about that. I hope they come up to Ontario, they sound tasty. While it’s not fast food (chain resto) State & Main makes a fairly decent Bison Burger.

Hey did you know hockey card seasons back, thats because hockey card seasons back. But thats nothing compared to the most important news of the day which is that hockey card seasons back (did I mention that hockey card seasons back). As seen everytime I try to watch something on Youtube!

It’s either this or some lousy commercial for Kelsey’s Unoriginal Roadhouse (for the last time I don’t care about Roadhouse Fest!)

Yes it was combined with coffee to water down originally I think, but it might be making a hipster comeback in some places. I like the odd cafe au lait, New Orleans style.
