Apparently they are down to single tickets for their dinner service. The lastest report has them looking to add a fish fry lunch on Fridays. I had also heard there is a breakfast service being run, I think only on Saturday and Sunday. Both breakfast and lunch might have more openings than dinner.

I would have gone, just not the right time for us. I heard on the radio they had about 1000 seats left, which is a small percentage of their capacity.

My info sure got outdated fast!

Glad they got a bit of a break in the weather too.

This is formerly the Marquee and before that Dylan O'Connors. The group that does Republic,Opera,Greenroom are behind this. Basically the description of the new place will be one ultimate man cave. Be a great place to catch any game.

Wow, on the restaurant. This mild weather must be making the experience that much more enjoyable. I really hope it was a financial success for them so we can continue to see something like this in the future! It never hurts to have new unique experience-oriented restaurants to go to, especially if its only open for a few weeks a year!

I thought I saw a facebook announcement proudly declaring February 15th as their opening day, but now I can't find the link, so... wait and see.

On another note, another popular local eatery is opening a second location... Burrito Del Rio will be opening their second location in the former Fresh Cafe location. They told me ~April (so with all the red tape in this city, that means September). Either way, look for it to pop up there sometime soon!

I saw that. The location doesn't seem very big, nor what I expected (centre unit on a small strip mall). But, I'm happy to see them come to town! Now lets spice things up with some competition (product and name-wise... Buffalo Wild Wings).

I think that's the chain that was on Undercover Boss Canada a few weeks ago and it didn't appeal to me from what I saw.

Maybe it will be better in person.

I would expect news on this chain announcing a location here within the year.

Yeah, I saw the bit about this on John Dobbin's blog a while ago... speculation is they'll set up their first location in Seasons of Tuxedo. Chain or not, places that cater to the sports crowd will do well. I think we're positively saturated with Boston Pizza; no more of that please.
