Great shots.
Like the snow with palm tree shot.
Also like the one down Main St. that shows the very thin profiles of the Dunsmuir and Georgia Viaducts - barely noticeable for a highway structure.

Great finds as always Delirium. I also like the English Bay palm tree one, and that is a great one of the Richmond Oval.

I thought I'd post this one mostly because of the caption the photographer wrote:

This shot is taken from North Vancouver at the Lonsdale Quay Market. Vancouver is a lot like Seattle but way bigger, much more diverse, and has a more metropolitan feel.

It is one of the few places outside of Seattle that I could live.

I always find it so interesting when people don't know the population stats but say Vancouver is bigger than Seattle based on appearances (ok, I know the city of Vancouver is technically bigger than the city of Seattle but you know what I mean).

And I liked the look of all the cranes visible in this one:

I don't think anyone has posted this one yet:

Great finds, Raggedy.

I've had similar experiences with Seattlites coming to Vancouver and thinking it's a larger city. When I tell them that their metro area has over a million more people they don't believe me. It's weird.

I have always felt that compared to American cities Metro-Vancouver in general feels like it is twice its population. Also, do remember that American metro areas seem to stretch to areas that we would not consider part of the metro population. For example, Seattle's metro population includes Tacoma and other areas very far away and detached from Seattle itself. If Vancouver were in America it's metro popuation probably would also include the entire Fraser Valley to Hope, Squamish, Nanaimo and Greater Victoria (no joke!). So in the end Metro Vancouver's true size is probably very similar to "true" Metro Seattle's size.

Downtown Vancouver is way bigger than downtown Seattle. There is really nothing in downtown Seattle of much interest other than the Space Needle. The city life is quite blah compared to Vancouver.

Can we institute a rule that you can only post photos of which were taken in +/- 8 degrees of the present day's temperature?

I was going say, maybe we should have a rule that we only post renders of buildings that we know are going to get built! But then I realized that the Hotel Georgia is supposed to have no problems I hope

Hey Crazy, what exactly is your beef with Seattle. You always have to comment on how you don't think Seattle is anything compared to Vancouver. Vancouver is a very physically attractive city but I guaratee you there is a million more cultural opportunities in Seattle. Just the Space Needle huh.. what about the Pike Place Market, you know the one that Granville market is modeled after. Oh yeah and the EMP, the Seattle Art Museum, the shopping that so many Vancoverites seem to enjoy every weekend. Please and don't even get me started on the music scene comparisons, P.S.-some real nice photos here.

Wow, that was a disgusting little racist rant there... thanks Kamakura.

Mods?

Oh and for the record I agree with SeaJ... Seattle kicks ass, so much fun stuff to do downtown and tons of vibrant street performers/musicians.
