Per my request, you're welcome guys

From midtown_atl's Instagram page.

I love that the streetwall is contiguous with 77 12th's btw. I'm very pleased with this design.

Isn't 77 12th's pool / plaza level right in the middle of that?

Talk about a pool that will never get direct sunlight ...

I imagine it would be pretty similar to Metropolis in that regard.

The pool is on the far west side of though, so it should get decent afternoon light.

Cornerstone Medical Center render

Officials announced today that a seven-story, mixed-use medical complex has been green-lighted to replace "blighted parcels" across the street from Piedmont Hospital. The $65 million project, dubbed "Cornerstone Medical Center," will rise at the intersection of Peachtree and Collier roads. Plans call for 145,000 square feet of Class AAA medical office space and 16,000 square feet of street-level "boutique retail" and restaurants, presented in a blend of classic and modern architecture. The seven-story complex will have four levels of below-grade parking. Earlier talks indicated that Chick-fil-A will open a space within the new development, and the finalized rendering above would support that. The Cornerstone-Stein team plans to break ground this summer and complete the project by next year.

The pool will get plenty of light.

Does anyone know what clever name this development will have?

The Midtown DRC agenda said 60 11th Street, and given that 77 12th is the name of their last tower, it's safe to assume that's correct.

Everything about that apartment tower looks sexy and then you get to the brick podium. It looks completely out of place and so cheap.

Finally a press release and some new renderings of the Morningside development. Sprouts will be the main tenant.

This render does not even come close to what it looks like in reality. I imagine it will look just like 77 12th and it actually looks pretty good.

i agree; i think they're trying to go with 'traditional' but it looks more postmodern. of course, this kind of thing is relatively easy to change, take a look at viewpoint for example. they will probably upgrade the façade in a couple of years.

There is just very little to not love about the 98 14th Street proposal. You have impressive height, architecture and density. I love how Towers B & C come right up to 14th Street. Left out of the rendering (for obvious reasons) is the Four Season Hotel. When you add in the Four Seasons and the short hotel building on the southside of 14th, you have a very nice cluster there. The owner(s) of the southwest and southeast corners of 14th Street and W. Peachtree Street are probably doing their money dance right now.

I hope Towers B & C start first. Looking at the north facing view, that will make quite an impact from the Downtown Connector.

I think that's extremely likely since they're the ones with the street frontage.

EDIT: It looks like they're bringing the ground down to the elevation of 14th and putting in an underground garage. I don't think we'll see any of those towers go up for a pretty long time with all the site work that will need to be done before construction can start.
