3 assists in his first game back last night against the Blues. McDavid rested up and is looking good for the playoffs. Still a lot of other injuries on the Oilers right now, but I'd expect them all to be back when the post-season starts.

I have a special visit to the Jets game with my son for the Oilers game on Sunday. Hoping they can convince McDavid to come down for a quick meet and greet! Jets arranged for us to come to the game and will likely be providing some access to the players.

Ehlers and Vilardi need to come back.

Stanley is a liability for the playoffs, IMO. He fucks up too much. Chaos Giraffe.

We're lucky enough to have some family connection with people at the top and they pulled through for us!

Slightly worried about Vilardi. Rumours is he will miss playoff time, possibly significantly. Hoping it's just rumours. Ehlers and Pionk are game time decisions today I believe.

Arniel mentioned yesterday in his media scrum that Vilardi was making good progress and should be skating soon

That's rough. Have you checked Fans First. They're definitely marked up prices. But might be something there for you.

What a fantastic game tonight! Another shutout for Hellebuyck!

40 goals scored in the season by none other than KFC with his two tonight!

Morgan Barron was again, a stick handling beast tonight with his goal!

Nino's tip in goal from Josh Morrissey was absolute fire!

Pionk being back helped with our defence tonight, and Ehlers coming back with a chip on his shoulder!

The Jets are literally 1 point away from clinching the Central Division, a first for Jets 2.0. This will be the second time in franchise history in winning a division title. The first was dating back to 2006-2007 season with Atlanta when they won the Southeast Division title.

The Jets are also 1 point away from clinching top seed in the Western Conference going into the playoffs.

Hey...can someone explain why the Jets have not clinched 1st. Even if we lose the last three and Dallas wins all three, Jets will have more regulation wins and will have won the series against Dallas. I have not heard an explanation.

Jets currently have 43 regulation wins and 3 games remaining
Stars currently have 41 regulation wins and 3 games remaining

If Jets lose out in regulation and Stars win out in regulation, Stars would have 44 regulation wins and win the division.

Dallas has the tiebreaker if we blow the last 3 games and Dallas wins 3 straight, all in regulation. Both teams have 3 games remaining.

Granted we have 43 regulation wins and Dallas has 41. If we blew the last remaining games in regulation, Winnipeg would finish the season tied at 112 with Dallas, also at 112, but they would have 44 regulation wins, and Winnipeg would have 43.

We just need 1 point to clinch, or Dallas to lose in any fashion.

Ahhh...thanks. We would have more wins, but they would have more regulation wins.
I'm not worried. Confident Jet's will manage at least one point over the final 3 games to close the deal. And likely Comrie will get one of the starts.

Those 2006-2007 Thrashers won the division with only 43 wins and 97 points! The Southeast division was weak. The Jets have to fight until the end, and apparently 112 points isn't good enough to clinch. Builds character I guess.

I'd guess Comrie starts against Chicago on Saturday? Maybe against Anaheim just before the playoffs as well?

Great game again last night. Dallas made some pushes, especially at the start. Jets wore them out and took over.

In the player interviews and such, they talk about wanting to be 1st and have home ice throughout the entire playoffs.

Maybe Hellebuyck plays the last game vs Anaheim if they need the points to clinch 1st overall in the league. they will have a 3-4 day break before the playoffs start. Otherwise I'd go with what you described.
