Yeah. Because of the last two years, all the odds makers have us 5th in winning the Central and Western Conference. Never mind winning the cup.

The utter disrespect.

Jets are now 5 points ahead of the Dallas Stars. The huge game is set for Thursday, April 10 in Dallas. If the Jets can win or take it to OT, they will likely win the division for the first time in Jets history.
Huge win last night. I don't think we can say Jets dominated that game, but they definitely controlled most of it. Hofer played well in goal for Stl as well.

If Dallas loses today vs Vancouver, Jets can clinch first in the west with a regulation win on Thursday. either way, huge game coming up vs Dallas.

The level of disrespect Winnipeg gets in pro sports in about as consistent as death and taxes.

On the football side the Bombers went 0-4 and then won the division and went to their fifth straight Grey Cup. Being a fan of the team it definitely was not deserved but it speaks to how bad the rest of the western division did.

I joking say the Leafs could be in game 7 of the Stanely Cup final, up by 3 goals with 2 minutes left and still find a way to lose. For the Jets, they won't get respect until they actual win the cup and even then before it is even presented to them the analysts will be busy working the spin on how they go lucky and if this didn't happen to the other teams they would not have won.

Whiteout Party Info announced.
https://www.nhl.com/jets/info/whiteout/

Surprised they didn't connect the whiteout parties more officially into True North Square. The area ends on Graham under the City Place skywalk.

Edit, they have separate parties for TNS.
https://x.com/mikemcintyrewpg/status...62890711564666

The #NHLJets will host street parties on Donald Street for all home playoff games. $10/ticket, capped at 5,000 fans.

They will also have the Truth North Square parties. $20/ticket, capped at 1,200 fans.

$5 from every ticket goes to United Way.

They go on sale Tuesday Apr. 15.

I think this will be the last year they use Donald as the primary street for the Whiteout parties. With buses leaving Graham this summer, by next year I'd imagine the parties are on Graham and feed right into True North Square

Possibly the President's trophy as well! WSH is right on their heels though. Maybe Ovi will take a break from scoring now

WSH schedule has CAR, CBJ x2, NYI, and PIT.

Not the easiest with CBJ and NYI fighting for playoff lives. CAR also not easy. PIT isn't either.

As long as WPG beats DAL, I think we are pretty much set to take the Presidents trophy.

88% chance for first in the Central right now. Will be higher if Vancouver beats them tonight.

I'm not exactly too worried if we don't win the President's Trophy. Sure, it's nice to have, but I feel winning the Central has more merit, given now that the Central Division is so back with it being the "Thunderdome" of the NHL.

I get it though. There's that pessimism and scepticism about our performance in the playoffs that gets everyone nervous.

This final road trip will determine how we will perform, and with Ehlers and Vilardi out, we still manage to find ways to win, and last night's game was a great example of that.

Unreal comeback win by Vancouver tonight over Dallas. Jets can clinch 1st in the west in Thursday with a regulation win over Dallas.

We can't clinch Thursday. Dallas would tie us if they won all 3 remaining and we lost all 3 AFAIK.

We do have the tiebreaker though. There is a chance.

Which is why the Dallas game could be a potential 2nd round match up in a similar fashion from the 2018 playoffs 2nd round match up.

We have the tiebreaker over Dallas.

Edit: I stand corrected. It's RW(regulation wins) first, then ROW(regulation and overtime wins).

So we would not clinch just yet over Dallas. It would be a stranglehold, but not quite there.

If the Jets win Thursday, the Stars need to be perfect for their remaining games, and the Jets would need to lose all of their remaining games in regulation.

It's nuts that a team with 53 wins is going down to the wire just to win their own division.

That was an unreal comeback. And it did wonders for my parlay with the odds so low in that last minute.

2021 Jets 1st round draft picks Chaz Lucius announces his retirement from hockey. The 21 year old showed such potential in his early career, and could have been a breakout player for the Jets. Sadly, Lucius had EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome), a group of 13 heritable connective tissue disorders. The conditions are caused by genetic changes that affect connective tissue.

Sadly, the condition proved too much to overcome. I can relate to Lucius. I was an elite athlete, who was forced to give up my sport due to degenerative discs in my back. I pray that Lucius overcomes this, and manages a coaching career, or finds fulfilment in life.

Anyone else hoping McDavid skates over a banana peel and the Oilers get eliminated from the playoffs? Yes it is a long shot but shockingly still a possibility.

I think Oilers are a lock for #3 in the Pacific. Next to no chance they slip out of contention.
