I think it would look awkward with the walls all around, but maybe that could work.

Better to get BMO to sign up to take the base of a tower , give them tons of underground parking and build high density on top. Buy existing BMO lot for good measure and put up the twin tower.

I meant "real sports bar" the one that's by the acc.

Think a nice big sports bar close to first Ontario Center would be nice. Something better than wendel Clarks (I love the building, but imo the food sucks).

For the NW corner of Bay and Main I think something 6-8 storeys tall would be fine. No lower than 4 though.

As for the SW corner, I would love to see that suburban-patterned drive-thru banking turnstile give way to a tall tower.

They look okay. Like I've said before, they seem kind of out of place right now since they're surrounded by empty lots, but as those lots are developed, I think these towers will fit pretty nicely into the landscape.

Unfortunately for now, they stick out like a sore thumb, especially the west side which faces another empty lot. At least we know there are plans in the works for the lot at George and Caroline.

Starting at $1700? Jesus i can get a cheaper 1 bedroom in toronto.

Templar flats is starting at $950. How can you justify that discrepancy? Parking spot and balcony dont make up the difference. And templar is in a better location IMO.

I know where id rent.

I think this is actually referring to the newly built 7 story building across the street, especially since the address is 140, not 150. Still ridiculously expensive though, even for Toronto.

Outrageous pricing

There is no way they can be serious about those rents.

I'm in thr middle of condo shopping in Toronto, and 600-700 sq/ft units go for that amount, in prime locations. Those better be some kick-ass quality units to justify that price.

150 main is the condo tower, the old fed building. 140 main is what was bella towers, the taller tower which is all rentals and they want $1700 for LOW END units.

Across the street has been renting for a while nd they wanted 1100/1200 ish. Cant remember exactly.

Buildings on the south side of main are odd numbers. North side are even numbers.

Yeah $1700 for a 600 square foot apartment strikes me as a lot to ask in Hamilton. Sure compared to an early 70s highrise it is way newer, has good amenities and also a good location, but that's a big jump in price per square foot. I'm curious how they will do.

Called the salescentre and got some clarification on pricing.

1 Bedroom units starting $1200

2 Bedroom units starting at $1700

3 Bedroom units starting at $2600

The $1200 entry point is more bearable than the original $1700 entry point. Of course those starting prices are probably for low floor units and prices go up the higher the floor.

They're planning for September occupancy.
