EXTREME Spring Cleaning in Progress

BEGINS SUNDAY EVENING, APRIL 19, 2009

To help in street and boulevard cleaning, the city is placing temporary “No Parking” signs on designated streets. If you park near one of these signs during the times indicated, your vehicle will be ticketed and towed at your expense.

So please watch for these signs and read the times displayed. The only thing we want to clean off the street is sand.

Click on the link below to view information on:

- excessive boulevard abrasive debris

- if you suspect your vehicle has been towed.

I just got this email from the City. Lol, Extreme.

Now that is a great sentence 1ajs! Maybe if they mixed in some "marol" with the "rediculas" sand we would have been better off.

Winnipeg to receive portion of gas tax early

By: Bartley Kives

Ottawa plans to give Winnipeg a chunk of its gas-tax money almost three months ahead of schedule, Treasury Board president Vic Toews said this morning.

Ottawa will give Winnipeg $41.1 million this year as part of its $2 billion gas-tax revenue-sharing plan with all Canadian municipalities. Half of Winnipeg's share, or about 20.5 million, will arrive this month, Toews said at a press conference outside Mayor Sam Katz's office at city hall.

The money has already been factored into Winnipeg's 2009 capital budget, a $476-million spending plan on road and bridge repairs, wastewater upgrades and other infrastructure improvements.

Other Manitoba municipalities will receive $25.8 million this year as part of the gas-tax transfers, which Ottawa has made a permanent part of its spending plans.

The total gas-tax transfer was doubled to $2 billion this year.

Nobody can force a person to believe something. You have to decide for yourself.

Do your own research by Googling and viewing Youtube videos from other cities on the topic.

Best thing is to look up in the sky, take a deep breath, and ask yourself:

Is this weather and air normal?

I guess it depends on your age. If you're over 40 you'll remember and be more certain what real weather, clouds and air are supposed to be like. That these "clouds" are man-made, endless and endless days of overcast skies...like we have today (Friday, April 17th, 2009) are NOT normal. Breathing in a sulpher-like air is NOT normal.

The first time I think this happened in Winnipeg was during the Summer of 1985. We had complete overcast skies for months on end, very little or no rain, and temperatures around +22 Celcius. Clouds and cold fronts and warm fronts normally MOVE from west to east in this part of the world, but to have overcast that long is NOT NORMAL.

Demand better.

Yes, I believe this is true, however the temp at this point in the month should be in the +10 to +15 Celcius range, not +3.

There are clouds. But where's the rain??????

These sure look suspicious:

©me. Taken yesterday around 7pm.

I bet that curly one is a murderer!

And yes, cold fronts are total proof that air planes are killing humanity with toxic clouds. And I guess yesterday was so hot because all their engines heated up the air too much.

All those contrails and it was 16 degrees. Then this cold front comes in overnight. No wonder it is so cold!

I was going to post a news report from a Canadian news source, but backed off when it looked like the news organization censored the reporter a bit in a non-chalant way.

Searched for 'chemtrail'
Your search - chemtrail - did not match any documents.
No pages were found containing "chemtrail".
So contrails exist at the CBC, but chemtrails do not.

This news item was from 2002 and was the original story I added to this thread, and then replaced with elipses.

http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2002/...ils020515.html

This one is a more recent one (October 2008), coming from Newfoundland, reporting a square-shaped cloud. I kid you not.

How did that happen?

By: David Sanderson | Winnipeg Free Press - April 18, 2009

Since U asked...

Can you explain the U-turn signal at McPhillips Street and Kingsbury Avenue? I've never seen another one like it anywhere else in the city.

Never mind here: City of Winnipeg spokesperson Terry Aseltine doesn't think there's another traffic light in Canada -- perhaps the world -- that also incorporates a green U-turn signal. Aseltine says the standard was put in place some 10 years ago to prevent commuters from using Kingsbury as a through-way.

"Traffic heading southbound on McPhillips is not allowed to make a left hand turn eastbound onto Kingsbury. But drivers are allowed to make the U-turn so that they can still gain access to the Garden City mall," Aseltine says.

(A side note to those who frequent watering holes in that neck of the woods: during Prohibition, U-turns were commonly referred to as bootleg turns -- seems whenever drivers carrying illegal hooch spotted an approaching squad car, they changed direction as quickly as possible.)
