I’m a tad worried about these 1-2 hour layovers though as I got a tad lost last summer in CDG
If it’s a major airport you’re connecting to from CDG and there’s multiple daily flights, you can usually scroll down on Google Flights and find an option with a longer layover at the same price. For example, I’m going to LHR but the option it recommends me is a 1hr5min layover at CDG which is too tight, but I scrolled way, way down (past all the AC options) and found a 3 hr layover at the same price.

Yeah same here for FCO. Going to book the longer 3 hour connection but with the earlier 1700 departure, for those brave enough, there are some early morning tight connections that make getting in early to lots of places in Europe possible. On the outbound, I think I'm going to treat myself to J class at the for under $1300. Return probably in Y+ for around $850.

You may wish to give yourself even more time on that J fare. The lounges at 2E/F are pretty sweet.

Anything marked as a promo fare on their site is a nice deal. As always, be aware of lite/basic vs standard fares (irrespective of airline).

I made a booking about 6 weeks ago for a fare I thought was pretty good. With the updated daily schedule I made a free change to a Friday and got money money back (fares even lower now) in the form of a voucher, which I’ll probably use to make a paid upgrade at checkin. I had booked standard not lite.

Just did a dummy booking and booking lite + paying for checked bags both direction is more expensive anyways than a standard fare which includes a checked bag and seat selection (and of course the free changes). You don't get any of these with AC's standard fare.

Any news/updates on a hopeful return of Delta to YOW?

Appreciate the tip. I’m thinking standard is the way to go

I'm not aware of any news but I'm also eagerly waiting for Delta's return to YOW.

Looking at Canada's 8 busiest airports YOW and YEG are the only airports without nonstop DL flights to DL hubs:
  1. YYZ - ATL, DTW, JFK, LGA, MSP, SLC
  2. YVR - MSP, SEA, SLC
  3. YUL - ATL, DTW, JFK, LGA, MSP
  4. YYC - MSP, SLC
  5. YEG - none, although WestJet has nonstop flights to ATL, LAX, MSP, SEA
  6. YWG - MSP
  7. YOW - none
  8. YHZ - LGA

Those Westjet flights from YEG are probably a codeshare with Delta. So really YOW is the only one not served by any Delta hub. Sad

I’m hopeful the rumours that Porter will partner with DL are true and we get a flight to ATL and LAX. BOS we already have.

I would be surprised seeing Porter and Delta partner with each other. WestJet is already partnering with Delta. They have opened up flights from non-hub airports (e.g., Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg) to Delta hubs.

Now Porter partnering with Alaska and American that is a different story.

I originally thought it would be AA because a massive chunk of their potential destinations in the future are AA hubs. But there has been talk apparently that it may be DL. I would be happy with either, personally.

It is disappointing how YOW is not currently benefiting from the already announced PD partnerships. Jetblue, Icelandair, Alaska airlines, Air Transat, none

Today’s departure count: 66, including 12 sun flights + Jetz charter to PHL

Today’s cancellation count (so far): 0

AF327 is 2:45 late tonight.

Does anyone know if gate 4 is closed for maintenance? While 1 & 2 are only used sparingly in the past 2 years, it's been eons since I've seen anything assigned to gate 4.

There is no jet bridge at 4 so that's why it's rarely used. Means air stairs need to be available from the plane and to the terminal.

2 has been used fairly regularly this winter for the morning departure to IAD on the CRJ.

How could I forget. We already have 20k O&D with DFW last time I checked. With feed, this can work!

Not sure if it was a typo or not, but I said DTW (Detroit) not DFW (Dallas Fort Worth).

Yeah that’s my mistake I read it as DFW.

Ah ok. I didn't realize 4 was never given a bridge back when 1 & 2 got them.

Looks like there's no flight to CDG today.

DFW isn’t a DL hub, but DTW is. Also I’m sure there is a lot more O&D traffic from YOW to DTW than DFW.
