I don't see what is so funny about that.

Still far from perfect but the area shown is looking worlds better than when I was attending the Surrey SFU campus (about 8 years ago).

Don't worry about Jebby's comment, its just his way of dealing with his own inferiority complex.

Yes, I definitely feel inferior to Surrey. Thanks Dr. Freud.

I'm no Freud, but you certainly tick all the boxes for that psychosis. Sorry.

Thanks! I should take some with my real camera though. The iphone 6s is poor quality when zoomed.

Area is already looking quite different from a year ago. My pic from June 20 2015:

Yeah, just wait until the rest of the Bosa buildings go in along 104 Ave. Then that pic will be really different!

I can definitely notice now that they have picked up the pace.

I am not from Whalley core and admittedly avoid it. But I noticed that these type of people seemed to be widespread more so than any other place in Surrey. As such, the area is in need of a serious revitalization at the social level, not just at the development level. Hopefully this building will be the catalyst to start such a process.
Well.. What dayya expect? Downtown Eastside & Whalley are undergoing major gentrification. It will not happen right away.

So I guess thinking the DTES is a shithole as well is another sign of my inferiority complex?

Jebby, Jebby, Jebby - such a sweet and naive little thing - never seems to learn that people don't comment on things that they don't care about - this is a basic law of human nature. For all the "Surrey sucks" rhetoric, you sure have a remarkable passion for Surrey as you can't seem to stop from posting on Surrey threads. Why, oh why, is Surrey so important to you that you are seemingly compelled to speak of it over and over again? Think of all the delightful ways that you could spend that energy on something you actually claim to care about! Now go off and play with toys that actually appeal to you and maybe you'll find that you too can one day turn that big sad frown into a smile!! Now be off with you - Bye bye!!
