Is the fenced off area the full size of the atrium?

The fence looks to be off centre, so I doubt it represents the location of the atrium.

The fence for the bottom one in the pic is positioned farther to the east than the west. The floorplan shows the east-west length of the atrium being about one-third of the width of the building and the atrium being centred, so shift it accordingly.

Interesting point in the re-clad, the toilet seat is gone and all that remains is a glimpse into how the original EATON'S building looked before the two storey addition, it was quite an elegant structure prior to the many alterations that resulted in the dirty Sears urinal.

partially true.

the Urinal Rim was added in the early 80's while it was still Eaton's.

However, Sears never bothered to clean it. (Yuk!)

EDIT:

I stated that it was 'the many alterations that resulted in the dirty Sears unrinal'.., I'm fully aware that the 'cap' was done by EATON'S as was the subsequent 2000 eaton's alterations done by Sears for the eaton's experiment which included alterations to the Robson & Howe entrances and facades as well as the Robson and Granville entrance which, IMO, were the 'nail in the coffin' and left the building looking awkward and unbalanced.

Pic by me today.

The northern yellow fence has been extended and looks to more closely resemble the atrium dimensions on the floorplan. Southern one is still off. Any chance the soutrhern atrium dimensions have been reduced (to provide more floorspace?)

perhaps the fencing is only as large as it is -for now- until the demo debris and equipment is moved out of the way?

Probably - we'll wait and see.
The northern one is being opened up, so the southern one may be waiting til the first is done.
I think the northern one may expand westwards into the area currently occupied by the mechanical penthouse.

There's still quite a bit of clearing left to do on the southern side, so that's probably what they're waiting for before opening up the atrium.

Pic by me today - brackets attached to the office floors' edges - presumably for the new curtain wall.

Pic by me today:

You can see rebar poking out where they'll probably pour new concrete to expand and square-up the floorplate.

The "long" view in that shot gives it a very "suburban office park" look.

Pic by me today.

You can see a couple of large roof sections were lifted by crane and are sitting to the south.
