All university campuses and most school districts are closed today, and TransLink has advised people to stay home. Going to warm up soon but not before one more dump of snow later today.
well good thing Vancouver has hardly any hills and that Calgary has more hills according to the Canada weather section.
Burnaby is closing down many roads today according to the noon news. They showed trolley busses lined up South Granville, Double decker busses stuck etc, skytrain was a disaster, I think Canada Line had to be shut down too.
Meanwhile up here where I am at work its -35 real feel -41 but its sunny. Lucky to be away from the chaos back home.

Here are few more. One shot I didn't get was the dad who tried to tried to "snowboard" down the slope and went ass over teakettle in rather spectacular fashion. Kids of all ages were enjoying themselves.
As stated, not weather, but environmental nevertheless, my question is: given that there have been several other minor quakes off the west coast over the past couple of months,
is this a possible danger warning of increased seismic activity - with the dreaded question - is "The Big One," the Cascadia subduction quake, looming in the near future? Geologists? https://www.timescolonist.com/ninth-eart...orded-off-canada-s-west-coast-1.24042054

No, it's not weather. Seismologists also say small quakes like this arem't related to potential big quakes. "these clustered quakes were not heralds of the Big One. Small quakes do not trigger big quakes, except in rare circumstances, Schaeffer said. They are just not big enough."
A soggy day in Lotusland. It didn't really feel like a winter day though. Maybe it's the new growth and colour. Also, it's not quite as gloomy like it is in December.
