The main problem with Laval is their downtown is everywhere except in one place. It makes it completely different than, let's say Longueuil, the other Grand suburb

Anyway, it's impressive how it changed since I left the place in 1997 from what I can remember with my child's eyes.

Thinking about that, I feel more comfortable with that activity, than any other developpement too far in the northern suburbs. I consider any developpement in Laval as infill and not sprawl. It is surrounded by built areas already.
I think most of the construction is taking place around the Centropolis area.
Well, there's...
Cité Cosmo
Viva Condos
Edifice de Bureaux au Centropolis (they started the cladding on it and it looks very nice)
And a Sunlife proposal on the corner of Daniel Johnson and St. Martin Ouest

Really?! Never heard of that. Any renderings of this proposed project?

It's quite new, the only one I've seen was on the sign. I'll try to find a rendering of it.
Also, is there any more news about the Place Bell? I'd love to see that go up

*edit: I couldn't find anything, but I'll try to get a pic if I pass by.

Hey I passed by Daniel-Johnson today and saw the proposed building, it's already fenced! Though, i'm really not impressed with the design, it lacks something that we call, imagination. I really don't know what's up with Laval but it always get shitty projects. -.-" Thanks for the consideration though

Also, I do not have a single clue on what's going on with the Place Bell. I always take the bus from Montmorency and there's no sign of construction anytime soon. Probably it's because of the new administration in City Hall that would have slowed down the project- I really don't know.

Well I guess it's better than nothing, I was hoping something better would arise there.

Thanks for the pic.

It looks straight out of the 1980s (and not in a good way)... I suppose it wouldn't be a bad place to work for local residents though.

They're trying to make it fit in with the theme already present in the other Place Laval phases. It would look strange having an overly modern building there.

People in Laval should take a look at this. How to have vision for a downtown, out of an area that looks exactly like Laval!

Video Link

See the Vaughan area depicted in the video in Bird's eye view:

That would be awesome, but sadly, that will probably never happen...
Well that's why we have imaginations

The sales office for Le Regard Condominiums is still up after a LONG time, it's literally a huge ass barn. It's a project consisting of 3 buildings, each 3 floors.

Yeah, it's nice to have a more modern and different proposal, hope this'll begin construction shortly (I assume so since they've sectioned the area off already).
