Huh? What is this about King Soopers? Do you have a source? Is the Punch bowl Social comment based on anything official?

Maybe it's just your camera, but that looks dark gray to me. I would say it's a slight (albeit insignificant and unnecessary) improvement.

Maybe, though Kroger has deferred a ton of U/C projects across the nation to Q1/Q2 of FY17- Eastbridge is not an outlier. So if they are canning the Eastbridge project it's likely that if would occur that its going to be part of a broader sell-off of projects.

Not that you lousy southsiders should get two grocery stores while those of us onthe north side have to settle for Target.

Source on King Soopers is the November "Front Porch" newspaper. As for PBS, I'm just speculating. Something must have gone awry... originally, it was supposed to be open by now.

Interesting about Kroeger.

I go to Target more than the King Soopers.... but good to know they're on top of widening the damn CPB bridge, 3 years after they caused a traffic nightmare!

Metric ass-ton of abatement.

The Nov Front Porch article seems to indicate that Kroger is delaying the opening.

Very interesting; I wasn't aware. While I only found a handful of delayed construction sites, it's still strategically curious. There has been random rumors of a bigger merger but nothing solid. Bloomberg had a decent piece Nov. 3rd, but nothing that speaks to the delays. It did point out that their stock had fallen 23% this year.

There's also potential competition coming from Amazon especially down here where Kroger was to invest $260 million in Fry's. I know they've opened a couple of their "Marketplace" stores which are supposed to be very nice but wouldn't know how they've performed. It will also be interesting to see what Cerberus Capital Management can accomplish with Safeway going forward.

Dammit.

Colorado's Aimco plans 61-story apartment-hotel tower in Miami
DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - A unit of Apartment Investment and Management Co. (Aimco) wants to build a 61-story tower and hotel in Miami's Brickell district and renovate an adjacent existing building.

The proposal by Aimco Yacht Club at Brickell, an affiliate of the Denver-based real estate investment trust (NYSE: AIV), would total 1.61 million square feet, including the existing 32-story apartment building of 634,081 square feet.

Including both buildings, the 2.41-acre site would have 750 residential units, 258 hotel rooms, 15,486 square feet of retail and restaurant space, 961 parking spaces in an 11-story garage, an amenity and pool deck on the 13th floor, and a pedestrian walk along Biscayne Bay.

Aimco spokeswoman Cindy Lempke said the project would be rental apartments. It has not decided on a hotel brand.

Not as hot as a Selfie but my Hot Take is that I decided to vote.... for twins.
Twin 66-story towers in downtown Denver but I'd settle for the 61 stories per Aimco above.

Well look at that. The sun did indeed come up in Colorado today (in case some were concerned it might not).

Congratulations to Colorado and metro voters; looks like everything went just as I would have hoped. Denver passed their school initiatives while JeffCo stayed true to its grumpy ways. The SCFD tax renewal passed; always important. It appears that Republicans will hold onto their majority in the State Senate which I suspect is best. I would hate to have business unfriendly laws passed. And so forth...

Back to building skyscrapers and things as the beat and life go on.

Here are a couple of new renderings of the Colorado Center residential tower from the construction documents. Construction is proposed to begin in the first quarter of 2017:

20 stories, 312 residential units, 20,800 square feet of retail, 244 feet in height.

I love how architects can just put a little "roof flare" on top of their box and call it a master piece. If it wasn't for my inability to draw a straight line I would have been one

What's the address on the colorado residence location?

Edit: nevermind - I will assume that it's located in the "Colorado Center" for which it's named.

Parkside Apartments

Hole in the ground and possibly a tower crane foundation? It looks too small to be a core.
