This cold should be illegal. It's like middle of the night in February but the sun is already out and it's early December.

Just arrived at the office. That was torture. Everything hurts. I don't think I've ever felt this cold here.

-17C (windchill -28) and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM. It definitely feels like early February out, We usually only get a handful of days like this every winter.

Its currently 9c in Kelowna at 6:30am. This huge Pineapple Express is bringing in very mild temperatures this whole week, with temps ranging from 5c-8c. We dont see day times around freezing until at least mid next week.

Winter hasnt arrived yet unfortunately. Its oddly warm.

-7C with a wind chill of -12. Sunny early on with more cloud later.

Low of -20C this morning. Yes, minus twenty. WTF!!!

The warmspot was White Rock, BC at 12.0C.

Warmest low was Discovery Island, BC at 9.0C.

Finally more than a dusting of snow in the Winnipeg region , might be able to go sledding before the new year yet , we might have 5cm of snow on the ground now !

-4C in Moncton at 8 AM and snow. About 4-5 cm expected.

The snow will return this evening, but transition to rain overnight, with an expected overnight "low" of +6C. The rain will persist tomorrow.

I've experienced sub-zero temperatures firsthand in the mountains and outside of Sicily, but never such a low value. Walking on a street at $-17^\circ$ must be an otherworldly experience

Yes otherworldly experience. The cold does things to your body you cannot comprehend.
I get it it's all romantic for you but come experience it, you'll be back in Sicily within 24 hours.

Talking about strictly the brutal cold with wind.
Snow at temperatures close to zero can be pleasant and pretty to experience.

Up to 10 cm falling in some parts of the city. Where I am close by the lake, we got what they are calling "wintry mix" AKA that shitty in between of rain and snow; slushy crap that will turn brown over the next few days.

Icy conditions expected tonight as we dip back below freezing. Currently 0.

Yeah, a light snowfall without much wind and temps between -5 and 0 is actually a really nice experience, as long as you dress correctly. Below that it starts to get ugly, quick lol.

Obviously, if you are naked or lightly dressed, walking outside with such a low temperature and wind must be painful. However, here in Sicily, we often say that you can defend yourself against the cold, but you can't against the heat. With very low temperatures, you can protect yourself with layers of heavy clothing. But when it's 30-35' C with humidity above 60%, it's impossible to defend yourself when you're outside. You can't just rip off your skin :inferno:

We got 15.7 mm of rain overnight with temperature hovering around 2 degrees. We had barely enough snow to cover the grass, now it's about 80% gone. Which sucks, because I was hoping we'd have snow cover before the deep freeze this weekend

A few drone shots via FB. Sunny but cold, still, all day. We've already had more snow this early in December than in total last year.

(Those houses in the middle of the blocks always confuse me. These days, at least, they're upper-middle class but surely it feels like living in a cave?)

Very pretty, it almost looks like it was designed that way on purpose. As long as you have windows on two sides, it's fine.

Vancouver is in the midst of the atmospheric river today, the high is about 10°C.
