0C and snowflakes. Not too much accumulation but we are all sick of it already.

Low of -6C (wind chill of -12) last night.

The warmspot was Victoria, BC at 12.7C.

Warmest low was Esquimalt Harbour, BC at 9.2C.

I had a friend in town this weekend, and we went to Queen Elizabeth Park. It's been decades since I've been there.

Sunny, then cloudy, then rainy. High of 11C.

Still freezing.

My Dad keeps a weather journal - one entry every day with the general weather, and notes anything of interest (if I'm visiting, someone dies, etc. - more than 30 years worth. Straight man's journaling, I guess) and he mentioned yesterday that if the snow sticks around "we'll be two months ahead of most years" Just fucking great.

Today it was mostly cloudy in Vancouver, some rain in the morning, but nice later with a high around 11°C

Afternoon pics from around the neighbourhoods.

For what it's worth the lowest low so far this season at Vancouver Harbour is 1.7.

So that might be more in line with your personal experience.

-9C with a wind chill of -13 and overcast this afternoon. Some light snow. It was snowing with a temperature below -10C this evening. This is notesworthy when it happeb in January or February but I look at the calendar and see December 7th. All I can say is WTF.

Low of -16C (wind chill of -20) this morning. Sunny. That was nice I guess. To experience the sun warmth but from the inside.

The warmspot was Victoria, BC at 12.6C.

Warmest low was Saturna Island, BC at 8.8C.

Literally every day for as far as i can see the forecast is 6-7 degrees below normal save for Wednesday when it should be only one degree below. WTF!!!

-12C and light snow in Moncton at 11 AM. We've has a couple of cm accumulation overnight.

Upcoming week seems rather messy. Generally cold temperatures with frequent flurry activity, getting up the freezing mark on Wednesday with a rain/snow mix.

Don't expect anything above average for the rest of December. We are looking at a 2017 level start to winter this year in Eastern Canada.

For Toronto;

Not much in the way of snow cover, about 1 cm on the ground depending on where in the city you are. 2-4 cm tomorrow afternoon, a brief warm up into Wednesday morning with a high of 4, then the cold machine starts right back up that evening and back to below seasonal for the foreseeable future. This weather would be a lot more tolerable in late January/early February, when you know Spring is around the corner. Bit in early December, knowing you have at least 3 full months of this left, it's a bit grim.

Yes, that certainly sounds more like my personal experience and even that was just maybe two nights.

-14C with a wind chill of -20 and sunny. Hey we got a fully sunny day. But hey, it's absolutely frigid as well.

Low of -18C (wind chill of -27) this morning. This is insanity.

The warmspot was Victoria, BC at 14.6C.

Warmest low were White Rock and Entrance Island, BC at 9.3C.

This year is beating 2017 (at least here in MTL)
Both Novembers were similar temperature wise. However (6 cm of snow recorded Nov 2017 vs 27.8 cm Nov 2025).

The start of December is way more brutal this year. On a completely different planet. We did have only positive highs the first 9 days of December back then.

We're already at an avg of -7.6C this December (excluding today's brutal cold) vs -8.9C for all of December 2017.

Looking at the live stream Montreal Est right now it's -16 °C Feels like -23 °C at 11:35pm
By morning I see Montreal having their lowest tempeture of the season so far.

In St-John's it is snowing right now and of course the snow is coming down sideways as it always does.
