I predict that it will be Volkswagen North American headquarters. They will follow Mercedes and Porsche here. As the 7th largest international company, having them in Atlanta would be big. They are currently located in Virginia in a DC Suburb.

I named VW earlier and he mentioned that (while a good guess) wasn't it.

Besides, I don't see them going in the city proper. Automotive HQs typically set up shop in suburban campuses.

To summarize, this is where we stand with figuring out the Tuesday / Wednesday announcement:

*Company isn't currently in GA.

*9/10 excitememt level.

*Unimaginable development before now in Atlanta/GA

*Confirmed not to be:

-VW
-Aetna
-AIG
-Anthem

*Not confirmed nor denied to be:

-Salesforce
-WarnerMedia
-P&G
-Kroger
-Netflix
-Goldman Sachs
-Nike
-OutKast getting back together

*Much bigger than landing Starbucks HQ (company is #146 on Fortune 500 list).

*Not a tech company

I bet it's Allstate. That way they can deny Florida claims from closer.

Literally as I was reading this, an Allstate commercial aired on my Pandora station. Whoooooo... I don’t think they’re a 9/10 wow factor tho.

https://atlanta.curbed.com/2018/7/30...ffice-building

This is not as exciting as the mystery company but, still great to hear ! Does anybody know what the vacancy rate of the building is now (after being half vacant in 2008)?

Just tell all us already and if not, there shouldn’t be this many pages of what is it what could it be mess. Go find a lounge or rooftop bar and have a drink or two. There’s more to here than to have this much conversation on “oh my what is it going to be”.

It doesn't quite fit the hints given (we already have State Farm here, so hardly unimaginable), but I guess it's a possibility.

That said, accirding to the below article, a strong preference was given internally to Dallas or Charlotte

I completely agree. It's just a ton of spam now. We need a thread on the ATL forum dedicated to Corp relocation speculation. Leave this thread towards discussion of actual developments and proposals. The thread is shit now.

Why don't we all meet up in the Eviva parking lot and have our own groundbreaking ceremony!
