Apologies from the dreadful picture quality (lots of glare on that side of the building), but it is a different perspective on the low-rise and what I assume will be an atrium of some sort connecting the buildings.

That is an interesting angle. The atrium area looks quite different from above. You get a much better sense of its large size. On another subject, I just realized you're going to have an excellent view of 350 Mission when that goes up someday.

Saturday's progress. Midrise is speeding along, but they seem to have slowed down on the tower glass:

Looking down Beale from in front of the PG&E Building, you get a sense how the midrise fits into the streetwall:

I'm really liking the way the top floors angle back away from the street:

A few pictures from this morning. In the second picture, the reflection on the low rise from the tower is interesting, and in the upper right, you'll notice that the tower has an advertisement, sort of like a bus.

Many of the new residential buildings in SOMA are typified by this sleek glass angled and/or curviture style buildings that just look great and of high quality. SF is definitely having a new look, and it is multiplying.

In my opinion, we need more of that. Curved and angled glass would serve as a nice alternative to the usual box that we've been getting.

I noticed this the other day. My guess is that it means the fabric billboard that wraps around the second and third floors is going to come down pretty soon.

Nice shots, guys.

They seem to have put all their curtain wall installation attention on the midrise. I haven't noticed a new piece of glass anywhere on the tower in like a week.

It was a beautiful day in SF today, so I took an afternoon walk and took the camera.

I was out too. Someone brought the Tucson weather along with him.

Great job on getting my favorite angle in the last shot. Your shots are so clear and crisp, I feel like I'm looking at the buildings in person. It looks like they've been patching up the glass on the lower levels where the manlifts are attached. But they still have to remove that crane so they can finish up the crown.

I stared and stared at 301's crown today and I finally understand some of those early renderings that made it look like it had wings or something.

Believe it or not, right now Wunderground.com says it's 73 in San Francisco, 67 in Green Valley (my Tucson exurb).

And in GV, "someone" has central air. In SF, not so much.

i agree that is a good angle (thanks dave) - makes the crown look very sleek

looks like we dont have to worry about the 'ear effect' after all

I was all set to complain that it's too hot. Then I went for a walk around the Financial District at lunch and saw oh so many hot women wearing oh so many low cut tops and, well, I have nothing to complain about!
