Tower Crane Lift Today

The Century Plaza blocking all the action. The next crane no.1 lift will have a clear view of the procedure.

Haha...

As someone who has worked on condominium assessments, reserve fund studies, been a PM for an architect and by having served over a decade as the president of a board, I look at projects like this in awe and fear what owners are in for in 25-30.

Pic by me yesterday.
That would have been the last segment to be inserted that day.

Noticed this project from Robson Street the other day when I was in town recently.

It's starting to have an impact on the skyline already.

A few more floors and it'll pass Wellesley Place and the Electra.
In the right light, those precast panels will 'pop'.

Unable to find a good angled rendering to plagiarize for officedweller's angle.
Yesterday finished setting up the table-forms for the 21st floor.

I was hoping to see a complete section installed (Maybe they tried and it didn't workout)

Crane no.2 lift today...Tomorrow there will be a slab pour for the 21st floor.

8 day floor cycle.
I used some of RDW989 images for the YouTube video, if it goes viral, I will split the proceeds 50/50.
1 million views earns us between $300 and $400. It would be a pleasant surprise.
I've had only 1 video One Burrard Place - One of the deepest excavations go viral in 12 years of posting.

Today I finally have sight of the westside columns, This should be a fairly good future look. At the 30th floor, we'll have a view of the width of the tower.
2 floors in 14 work days (7 day floor cycle).

You can see the Butterfly in the panning skyline shot. The cranes are really noticeable in the skyline now.

Nice stuff! That must be one of the few spots you can actually fly a drone in Vancouver. Can’t wait to do it myself this summer!
