Mother Earth to start work on Nampa brewery

By: Teya Vitu January 25, 2016

Quote:
Mother Earth Brew Co. intends to take possession of the former Syngenta Seed building in Nampa on Feb. 1 with hopes to be brewing beer by June.

Mother Earth beer, now brewed near San Diego, became available in stores across Idaho in late October. Sixteen Albertsons stores are about to start carrying the brand, Mother Earth owner Daniel Love said.

i think it was in the IBR article, though i know the Statesman had an article about Parcel B on the same day. IBR's article seemed to have more detail, if i recall.

Parcel B is essentially two city blocks, I mean they could build a 2-3 story indoor compact shopping center with underground parking and with two towers one with hotel and other with office or condos.. hell, get their hands on the lot across 13th and put an anchor nordstroms there and connect it with a skybridge.. theres soo much that could be done with that land in THAT location....go big or go home...

there's going to be the entirety of simplot's corporate headquarters RIGHT across the street.. not to mention JUMP and everything that it will attract...

That building would be so much better if it was along the Main st. Currently, it looks like they are building it 2nd and Idaho in downtown Eagle.

these?

i haven't heard anything about them recently. i would've been surprised if they were approved as proposed given the mass for that area, despite the 8-floor hotel right across the canal and the MK plaza nearby.

likewise, i haven't heard anything (or seen anything) about The Nest project proposed for the lot by the Fowler. i keep checking Local Construct's site in hopes of seeing a rendering, since it could be an even larger scale project than The Fowler. but, nothing yet.

I like this. Contemporary, but still with material elements that will make it a good fit with the neighborhood.

According to the Statesman, The Fowler broke ground yesterday, with a target completion date of May, 2017.

The new hotel going on Bannock also had a ground breaking either yesterday or today. I drove by yesterday and they had the VIP tent, golden shovels/hats in the ground.

Do you know if this building will use recycled materials? The design kinda looks like sustainable building projects I've seen before. Like the Library on Cole and Ustick. Just curious. I like the project either way

Thanks as always for the photos, Sawtooth. It's great to see how City Center is coming along, and I love the photo that includes Old Boise along Main.

Awesome project. This lot is literally half a block from me. When the Watercooler and Hale's Idaho St. project get going along with that new cafe/museum (in the craftsman moved from Central Addition).... it will be interesting times on this side of downtown.

Spent Fiday night and Saturday morning in Boise for a gymnastics competition. Might I say the downtown area is impressive for a city of its size. I really enjoyed seeing the mixed use projects and all the new construction.

I really hope the city of Idaho Falls takes a hard look at downtown Boise as a great model to look at as IF is starting to reinvest in downtown.

Great photo Sawtooth. Here is a rendering from The Gardner Co. of that corner when finished. (Capital & Main):

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Downtown Boise is lively and changing for the better.

Also glad to hear that IF is investing in its downtown. It's an important thing for all small cities to be doing at this point (Boise absolutely included).
