Those workers walking on the narrow beams are amazing. I just can't get over how they do that so routinely. If we didn't have people like that we could never get anything like this built. Hats off to all these workers for what they're doing to get all this stuff ( be it buildings, bridges, transmission towers, or whatever ) built.

My but some of those roofs are ugly - they should have roof gardens or patios on them.
A heliport or 2 wouldn't hurt either. Some of the roofs look quite neat and tidy though.
The shot from the webcam sure looks nice this time of day ( or night ) at this time of year.
Does anyone out there know how close we are to the top of the core???
Watching the webcam - I noticed that they are hoisting up some different shaped beams ( I like to call them paper weights ) up to the top of the tower today. We must be very close to topping out - yeah/no???
The worker in those 2 pics is one of a few elite - who has seen the roof of what was the tallest in this city - from the top of a nearby structure - and not from an aircraft. Thats takes major intestinal fortitude to do what he and his fellow workers are doing up there.

It looks like that it will come to a square cone shape in the middle - or will it be rectangular???

Really proud of Calgary and how it's developing. We were actually thinking about moving there. I also like the fact that there are little bit more conscious about the environment when it comes to construction. Almost as good as Vancouver. Calgary is quickly becoming my favourite city right now (The people are pretty awesome too).
