Some orange posts have made their appearance on the piece of land next to the new nissan dealership in Bathurst and an excavator is on site so some digging will happen soon!

This is exciting news. To see these brands finally look Eastward makes me feel confident that others will begin to look as well. I wonder how much further ahead we would be if it were not for the pandemic?

Wow, Edmundston before Moncton, just wow. It's surprising and not really; really. Edmundston is such a hot stop for traffic & tourists, it's the gateway to the Maritimes. I have often heard that the McDonald's in Edmundston is the busiest location in the Maritimes, I have no proof, but it could make sense. It certainly is busier than most and that is saying a lot because McDonalds are always busier than any other fast food outlets; BK, Wendy's, DQ, A&W. Secondly, the Grey Rock commercial project is very very busy and successful. I wonder if this Denny's project is heading there, my money would be on it.

The Grey Rock development is a very successful project by the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation, I love seeing this and wish them even more success in the future!

Construction is moving along well on two sizable project's in Bathurst. The steel is fully installed for the new Bathurst Nissan. Also the foundation is installed for the new fuel station off Vanier along with land prep is done for the retail plaza. I'm told no expense is being spared for this retail development its going to be well designed.

Signage is up for Marise a new fashion store in Bathurst Mall. Salvatore pizza has opened this week and so did one of NB's Largest Ardene stores.
In Beresford construction is in full swing for a new care home behind Subway, a new eye care clinic is nearing completion and a new plaza across from the mall in beresford is moving along which is said to host Dollarama.

Two updates
1. Signage is up for the new DQ on St peters. Opening is apparently next month.

2. The old Coke cola building on Vanier is apparently being converted to a self storage facility. Land has been cleared in front of the building for more lockers.

I reached out to the leaseholder of the under construction vanier plazas. They have confirmed A&W is the first tenant of this new development in Bathurst.

Nothing definite yet, and will have a lot of hoops to jump through, but SMRs in Belldune are becoming closer to a real thing.

Miramichi Leader is reporting that the city has sold a parcel of land on Route 11 next to the airport to LJ Patterson for a new building. The estimated construction cost is over $1 million. One condition of the sale is construction must begin by October 2023.

This is a win for the city, as Patterson's current location is juuuust outside the city limits.

Would the foundation be for the retail plaza, from my understanding the A&W goes in the same building as the gas station.

I hear that the old Coca Cola building on Vanier in Bathurst might become a storage facility, the whole lot has been cleared around the building.

After many years, downtown Bathurst will see a pharmacy open on Main Street. Guardian Pharmacy is opening a location in the Harbourview Building.

Construction on EastLink is 100% completed at Bathurst Mall. No signs of them moving in yet tho.

In other news DQ has been a successful opening. Its been very busy since opening. They plan a official Grand Opening event on the 23rd.
