we don't want audacious skyscrapers that will add density! We want shitty townhouses and bungalows that look all the same and big shopping malls everywhere. These people have really nothing to do. What gets me is that they're killing the progress of Laval instead of letting a nice project like this being built.

Update sur le projet du Boul. de Souvenir à Laval. Je crois que c'est le même projet. 24 étages pour le plus haut tour.

Apparently they've sectioned off an area near Daniel Johnson and St. Martin Ouest for another project, not entirely sure what's being built there.

ALSO, they're building a third phase of Viva condos, still selling at the moment, but I really like the look of these!
Not as tall but it's still nice (12 floors)

I like it aswell.

I was in laval 2 weeks ago, and was really impressed by the number of cranes & density going up and pretty visible from any Expressways.

The main problem with Laval is their downtown is everywhere except in one place. It makes it completely different than, let's say Longueuil, the other Grand suburb

Anyway, it's impressive how it changed since I left the place in 1997 from what I can remember with my child's eyes.

Thinking about that, I feel more comfortable with that activity, than any other developpement too far in the northern suburbs. I consider any developpement in Laval as infill and not sprawl. It is surrounded by built areas already.
