Thanks for posting, Tim! It's nice to so much going vertical. I wish UAB would go taller with their new buildings, but what they're doing seems to fit in well with existing buildings on campus.

I like Birmingham, y'all. I've spent two weeks here now back in March and this week helping a friend. I could live here. Just sayin'.

glad you're liking it! had you spent any time in the city before? i think it's noticeably improved since the early 2000s, especially the downtown core (reflected more on street level than in the skyline)

I had never visited Birmingham until March. And I had only ever been through Mobile about two or three dozen times 20 years ago.

I walked around downtown a few days ago and then the Highland Avenue area yesterday. Went to the Vulcan in March and have been kind of all over the place.

We'll miss you here in Austin if/when you move to Alabama. I've been to Mobile a couple of times, and it was always a positive experience.

I really don't want to leave Austin. I'm 100% Austin, Texan, but when a woman is concerned, anything can happen.

We just got back from the Ferus brewery in Trussville. I really do like it here. The people are nice here. It's cooler and less humid and the traffic is a cinch compared to Austin.
