Nice to know at least Brookfield is moving forward!

Add to that Fig+Pico looked pretty busy when passed by yesterday. I stopped on Flower short of Figueroa, but I could see construction workers and active heavy equipment.

AEG's planned hotel at 11th/Grand. From their application to city planning.

Yep, the more intersections that are 'completed' downtown, the better. It's more the intersections rather than mid-block that are most important in generating street life.

Reminds me of a mini Union Bank Plaza.

Neo-brutalist? I think it could look really nice, based on the rendering.

Haha! Brendon, what a blast from the past! I want Zen Tower too! That was a relatively simple design, but would have been pretty significant when viewed from the east.

I had big hopes for Zen, but those days largely ended in disappointment. Remember the Glass Tower? Did that become Ten50 or is that where this new hotel is going? I forget exactly where it was but I remember the Glass Tower sign being up on one of those lots.

The new hotel will go up directly across Grand (to the west) from the Glass Tower spot where Ten50 now stands. 11th and Grand, northwest corner. Last surface lot at that intersection.

Yeah ThreeHundred was awesome. Wonder what happened to him?

It's crazy how 15 years later and all these new towers makes me sad that the FIDM Building in this form never materialized. It just looks so cool.
