Yep, I see it too.

It was lit for sure. Live broadcast of Channel 6 ABC evening news today had a pan shot of the skyline, including it. Looks good!

Construction lighting. They must have gotten started on the rooftop restaurant.

Per this Michael Klein piece, they held a preview with Jean Georges at Bok Bar last night: http://www2.philly.com/philly/blogs/the-...rant-four-seasons-sky-high-20180925.html

Why hold a promo event for a Center City restaurant deep in South Philly? Probably because Bok is the only place where one can hold a swanky event and also have a direct line of sight to the future restaurant. As crazy as it sounds, I think that lighting scheme was for the benefit of the well-heeled patrons who got a sneak peek at Bok last evening. You can spend the evening gazing across the city at what's in store some number of months from now. So I doubt we'll see that lighting again

That's great. One can tell from the lobby shots that the interior will be high quality.

It looks like some part left over from a cheap IKEA kid's bedroom set. Tacky, just like the molded plastic ribs on the outside lower floors.
I’m afraid that you are incorrect (well, 98% sure). I work in the building and the wood is real. Yes, the ends are capped to prevent the wood from rotting. Also, the wood block floor feels and looks like real wood. There’s a reason that the building is double platinum (exterior and interior fittings).

Every time I attempt to spend too much time inspecting the wood, security approaches me and asks me what I’m doing.

There is a reason the building cost almost $1.5 Billion to build and fit out. If you aren’t in the building everyday, maybe you shouldn’t criticize the building materials. Just a thought.

Nope. Comcast decided to be selfish, as they always are, and put the money for that in their own pockets

it was harsh to say that comcast is just being selfish and just pocketing the money. dude, they spent a billion and a half on this building, you can't accuse them of being cheap. it is their building, they can do whatever they want with it. and who cares if it changes color.

This building might have some strange proportions but it's definitely not cheap.

I should have asked today. We had a feedback meeting with management this afternoon, but most of the questions were about the coffee makers, white noise in the bathrooms, when we can have visitors and take pictures, but nothing about the lantern.

One interesting thing, every floor has a “lantern lounge”, which is a quiet area right near the windows of the building’s spine. The windows are covered with refelective material with perforations all over it (about the size a hole punch would make.) It’s designed to be semi transparent during the day, but reflect the spine lighting at night.

And they’re having some difficulty programming the buildings blinds. The building’s AI controls them to block direct sun and heat. People were commenting that other nearby glass buildings were reflecting sunlight into the building, but the blinds didn’t respond. In the CC, blinds could be controlled manually with a control panel by each window.

Also, the fitness center on the 40th floor is opening in October. And the cafeteria is now fully up and running. I’m enjoying being able to get a window seat at lunch. Once all 4000 employees are in the building, seating will be difficult again (like it is in CC.)
