Upscale 6-Story Nursing Facility Coming to Peachtree Street Near Piedmont Hospital

Bull Realty has recently announced that they have brokered the $4.3 million sale of 1753 Peachtree St., a 1.15-acre site on the cusp of Midtown and Buckhead.

According to a written statement, UHS-Pruitt purchased the site on Nov. 12 from Woodhaven Ventures LP with plans develop, "an upscale six-story, 120-bed skilled nursing facility on the property." The corner site is located less than half a mile south of Piedmont Hospital and the Shepherd Center.
UHS-Pruitt, which is based in Norcross, Ga., owns and operates healthcare properties throughout the Southeast. The firm plans to tear down the existing single-story, 9,440-square-foot building to make way for a Class A, 60,832-square-foot skilled nursing facility.

The site is located at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Huntington Road on the cusp of Buckhead and Midtown. A Bull Realty press release states that the property features 123 feet of frontage on Peachtree Street and a daily traffic count of 39,530 vehicles.

Officials say that the new building will have great views of Buckhead and Midtown and will be convenient to numerous high-end restaurants and stores.

“With its proximity to two premier hospitals, this location represents an outstandingpurchase for UHS-Pruitt and an ideal demographic for a skilled nursing facility,” said Michael Bull, the founder and president of Bull Realty. “All the factors are in place for this new development to be a wonderful addition to Buckhead and a very successful project.”

No, ChasAl. This is a separate proposal south of there, at Huntington St. & Peachtree about a block and a half north of the Amtrak Station.

Broadstone-Maple (Under Construction?)

I was on my way to PetsMart and Sports Authority and I noticed the area fenced and the previous structure was tore down. I guess construction will be starting shortly.

Did you hear about this via word-of-mouth, or is there an actual source online for this?

I actually heard this from this dude when I was around the lucky marietta district. And he was visiting atlanta and he said he was looking for open spaces in the city to build a tower(s)at least 50 stories he told me he gave me his card but I forgot what I done with it but his name was jeff I think. But he look liked he was a millionare, but I told him go around north downtown around BOA towers or center of downtown.

Must be Jeff Fuqua's plan for a 50 floor Wal-mart.

The plan is to tear down an aging parking deck east of the Capitol building and turn it into a plaza large enough to accommodate up to 4,500. Design work will begin immediately, with demolition scheduled to begin in January. The project is due to be completed by the end of next year.

I just speculate and I'm wondering how the new residential 14th street towers would look like. That's what was designed in Miami by Arquitectonica :
2 towers of 58 floors(586 feet) and one with 50 (465 feet).
Looking at the only renderings we have it may look actually like that ????

Wow.. Sooo much density!!!

The size of these towers you found look about right, although from the site plan it looks like the towers for our project will have smaller, more elegant footprints. I think it's safe to say, given their portfolio, we will be getting something incredibly modern and refined.

I've actually been scratching my head over this twisting top feature they seem to be hinting at in the site plan, and based upon a quick glance at some of their other work, I'd say it'll probably end up looking closer to the project below.

http://arquitectonica.com/blog/portfolio/hospitality/aig-international-finance-centre-seoul/

Obviously, this is pure speculation on my part.

Can't wait to see the renderings!

The contrast between these buildings and the Four Season, Promenade II and One Atlantic Center would be a feast for the eyes. Alone they are so so but together they would be quite the masterpiece.

I can hardly wait till we get renderings for this development.

I view the after rendering as a marked improvement over the before rendering. The after rendering is much more balanced.
